Integrated water storage

We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

When I take my 5 gallon water jug camping, it takes up valuable cab or trunk space.

Terra suggestion: Could we have an option for integrated water storage that could hold 3-5 gallons? Perhaps in a removable container that can be cleaned. Maybe there is unused space that a container could fit in the underbelly, even if not a typical square or rectangle jug.

Or...Crazy idea: could you line the inside of the hollow car frame with plastic and use the void of the car frame as water storage? Maybe 2 gallons secretly hidden in the frame to left side of the truck's lift gate, and 2 inside the frame to the right of the lift gate.

Good news - Looks like the Terra will likely have molle mounting panels, which is great b/c that means Scout can focus on building trucks and not get distracted by the multitude of potential accessories.

A couple of these would work well mounted inside the bed.

My Supra has a plastic bag/bladder with a pump in it in the rear fender for the rear wiper washer. Having a power source near your water supply could give you pressurized water which would be VERY helpful for camping. I kinda like the bag/bladder idea since you just need a power source and something to hang the bag on. Damage to whatever container in freezing conditions is a consideration though.

For offroad purposes though, I usually just use a RotopaX.
