Hey Lady Scouts!!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Good news. Most of these newer trucks have larger infotainment screens and easily adapt to bright conditions + excellent resolution! FWIW, I put a screen protector on my infotainment screen and have zero issues with glare or polarized glasses - plus super easy cleaning. Fingerprints can be much worse without a screen protector, so its kind of a no-brainer to get a screen protector with a new truck these days, and there are a bunch of aftermarket companies that will also make them for Scout. i think the one that I have was made by T-Wraps. Even without the screen protector and based on the screen we have seen for the new Scout, it shouldn't be a problem.
So like a screen protector for your phone? Excellent.

Good info. I didn't know they made them for in vehicle touch screen.

I was thinking about how when you try and find something at the bottom
Of your purse and it’s dark and women have teased about how our purses need lights at the bottom.

Same thing goes for dark frunks and rear cargo areas and consoles. If it’s nighttime or you are in a dark parking garage or the woods with no light and you are trying to find the plug or attach points or something it’s hard when everything is all black. Sometimes even those lights in the car aren’t bright enough to find what you are looking for. So how about add a little color to things.

Don’t just make everything black or dark grey in a dark interior. Brighten things up with a Scout logo or just a brighter color or even a different texture so you can feel what you are looking for.

I was recently in a Volvo rental with a black interior in a dark parking garage. I had to get my phone out and turn on the flashlight to find the start button. It’s was ridiculous.

On other threads, I have seen the men post, "I bought my wife a car", "I'm gonna buy my wife a Scout" etc.... PLEASE! It makes me thnk of those snowy ads with a red bow on a Mercedes in the driveway. Are they for real or is it just a figure of speech? I can't imagine being in a position where I am waiting for a man to buy me a vehicle, or that i would want him to.

I have never met anyone that has happened to in real life. I truly think that only happens in commercials.

And honestly something like that I want to pick it out for myself. Especially since my husband is a sports car guy.

Heck I designed my wedding rings because he is very traditional when it comes to jewelry and what I picked out he never in a million years would have designed for me.
