F1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Well.

And they need to go back to the smaller cars. At least the smaller trend has started again. Shrink another 20cm off the wheel base and 10 more off the width. I'd also like the V-10s to come back.

Thats what im saying! Bring back the old. These new cars weren't ready. They feel half developed. It's reminding me of the Latest Nascar Gen. and on how they are just starting to become good after being on track for 4 years i think.

Anytime you make radical changes like F1 did this year, there will be growing pains and adjustments.

It isn't the end of F1 quite yet. :D
Thirty- forty years ago I enjoyed watching the improvements and innovations to F1, but then the cars grew and grew and got heavier and heavier. I know safety increased enormously, in part as a result of those gains which after watching some of my favorites get killed is welcomed, but they are too big! It's just not the same... The complexity involved now may be taking to much of the driver's attention away from driving. Norris didn't appear to see that cooling rig in the middle of the track because he was looking at this steering wheel data. These cars are are neccessarily data rich and driven. It's like they are becoming game players vs. physical drivers. My son didn't understand why I had trouble flying aircraft with an X Box controller and until I let him take the controls of a C172 did he really undersatnd about feeling the airplane and it's inputs.

It better not be, ITS RACE DAY!

Who’s your team Jamie? Driver?

Truthfully, I've been agnostic since Schumacher left the game. I tend to root for the underdogs a bit, where a young, talented driver, wet behind the ears, starts to get confidence, and their team grows with them. I was happy to see Lando get the championship last year. Kimi shows amazing promise for his age, and I've always liked Russell. I'd also love to see Ferrari in championship form again. Audi will be intriguing to watch as well. They have always gone into any racing series to win it all and have some amazing history. Plus, throw in the American's with an 11th team and things will be fun to watch.

With new teams, lots of young drivers and radically new cars this year, I think it will be fun to watch.
