Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Both my kids have Hyundais and the dealer near us is actually pretty decent. They don’t add a bunch of stuff to the cars that you don’t want and when they do a dealer markup it’s $1,000. Could be worse.

I know, it’s the Throttle House guys right. I like those two.

Looking over some patent info and I'm seeing a number of things. No idea what parts and pieces will make it to production-

Motorized bike rack for the Traveler roof that makes attaching a bike easier
Winch appears to be 12V
Roof racks with and without satellite antenna
Appears to support charging via the Harvester AND wall power at the same time with user-selectable percentages, or automatic if you prefer.
I see patents for both air suspensions (adjustable height) and hydraulic suspensions, the latter of which could share Harvester engine oil with the suspension system
Plug-and-play auxiliary roof off-road lights
Patents for toy models for both vehicles
Multi-function tailgate
Tailgate step
One-pedal rocking to free a stuck truck
Extendable tow mirrors
Stationary side steps

It was mentioned by the team member manning the RC station at the event that there is a Scout RC car in the works.

Wrangler comes with the plate off to the side. It tends to get ripped off by rocks or trees so a lot of people move it to the spare tire after adding corner armor. The new tail lights also extend out to the side and it's fairly popular to change those out to something flush mount.

All said that, I'm not sure how I feel about that patent drawing. Seems to distract from the clean design of the carrier. Hopefully it's just the sketch and the final product is more "integrated".

License plates always distract. I got a personalized plate a while ago and then realized how that was going to look actually on my Scout and not my Wrangler and a couple months later ordered a completely different one.

These are the ones i want to know more about.

If it's hydraulic that would mean harvester has to be running on some type of hydraulic fluid for oil. I which isnt entirely weird because some farm equipment does that.

Surprising. Our Hyundai dealer is very predatory and other locals are the same way
