Delivery Options

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I say we take delivery, throw some canoes on top of our Scouts and go for a real adventure in the wild.

Screw the stocked pond with hatchery fish.

Let's hit the river.

If all goes well I’m hoping daughter gets one too so she may be along. I’ll tell her to bring the bow. I’m all for canoes and more open water. Hoping for a friendlier group than those two though 🤣. Lots of spots we could all convoy to as we all head toward northeast

Hopefully they have someone ready to go over features when we take delivery either way.
If they do factory like BMW did, I had a personal delivery of the vehicle as a one on one and they went through every detail and even set up my phone connection and called my wife and the woman working with me told my wife she loved the color combo and was friendly. That was nearly 15 years ago and I still remember like it was last week. It was a great experience

By the time I took delivery of my R1T (in my driveway, which was awesome), I had already watched so many videos that all I needed was to get my phone set up. I took all the keys and went for a short drive with the crew then kicked them out. No knock, as I had literally been waiting for years, but I think I knew more than the new Rivian employees did at that stage. :D

That’s what I am expecting. I’m expecting those of us on the forum to not need a whole lot of education. Especially the ones that go later. Those first owners are going to be posting everything on here I would imagine.

I think they’ll allot decent time as many will be new to the BEV aspect and while many are good watching videos or reading I’m a visual learner. If adequate videos come out prior I may be perfectly good, but I will say the process at BMW was great because they ran me through everything (granted I could have managed 96% on my own but was nice having them talk through every step. Only wish/hope they set up my garage door homelink because we have roving code and with our Acuras (which were intuitive and easy to set up-the garage door was a PITA)

Hahaha, yeah guessing you're right, with the reintroduction of the Bronco, I was like Yaya, ahhh give me the keys. But this will be my first EREV, so want to make sure I understand what is what.
My thoughts exactly. I haven’t had dealers help me since the BMW. Same thing-give me the keys and go. But at the BMW event mine was staged in the entry lobby and I genuinely felt really special for the 45 minutes I sat there. Earlier in the day people were ogling it so it was just a different kind of experience (one I haven’t had since). Though I will say the Scout reveal was even more memorable and an experience I doubt any of us that got to go will never forget. When an experience is done right-you don’t forget about it.

Used to kayak a bit (which is to say, multiple times a week for about 8 years). Kayaking on the pickup trip - kind of interesting, but simply not practical for me. I don't need a new boat (really don't need a new boat, absolutely certain I don't need a new boat - yes, that never worked before either), so would have to ship one of mine out - and I don't want the 1600 mile trip home to be an experiment on how much a kayak strapped on top hurts fuel efficiency - will do that with shorter trips (where IF I have to charge every 100 miles I will not go insane).
