Another reason I like the Traveler seats over the bench is they have that metal demarcation line between the bottom and top of the seat and it has Scout lettering on it. I really hope that makes it to production.
I have seen a lot of aftermarket seat back hangers for all kinds of things. But, integrated ones would be a nice touch. And then here is the back of the Traveler seat. I really like the metal piece with the S on it in the headrests. Again, hope it makes it to production. And that metal piece on the main part of the seat it would be awesome if that could pop out to hang backpacks or purses on.

Those are cool. Does he use old Scout sheet metal to make these?Good morning! At events like these they are always selling such fun stuff. There was a gentleman who did metal work and he had keychains and Christmas ornaments and hat racks and clocks and large cut outs of the Scouts. They even had different grills to match the different models.
I got the hat rack, some keychains and the Christmas ornament.

Oh I didn’t ask that question but I didn’t get that impression. Those are cool. Does he use old Scout sheet metal to make these?
They’d have a nice rusted finish if that was the caseThose are cool. Does he use old Scout sheet metal to make these?
I believe we call that patina. They’d have a nice rusted finish if that was the case![]()
Oh he sent me a really good couple pictures of one and a close up of the patina. I’ll post that one shortly.I believe we call that patina.![]()
Well when you start with 600 it will take a couple months of those Christmas morning like photos. Keep them coming, I always look forward to the latest batch.I feel like I have posted more this week than I have in my entire life and feel like I must be running out of pictures. Nope. There’s still so many more!![]()
We had a K-5 when I was a kid. It didn’t have the chrome grill. When you said Patina, dream, I thought of this truck immediately. My question is, how do they keep it from falling apart?

Awh. All these stories tug at my heartstrings. We had a K-5 when I was a kid. It didn’t have the chrome grill.
My dad bought it with the intent of replacing or augmenting the Chevrolet C-60, but it suffered from what many IH trucks of that era suffered from: a weak, unreliable engine. The engine failed shortly after we got it. My younger sister insisted that she was going to rebuild it. I told her as soon as she had the money I’d help, but she was never able to raise the funds. I think it was eventually sold for scrap.
Nice photo. It shows there’s a fascinating little detail on the bed wall that I haven’t noticed before. I bet this helps improve the coefficient of drag. It will also be a great place for red dust to collect while visiting our national parks (if they’re not sold off).I just posted this picture in another thread where someone was asking about steps in the bumper for the Terra. This picture of the Terra shows a step to the bottom right of the passenger door and there’s a handle on either side of the window.

The detail on the bed is actually a nod to the original IH Scout vehicles. It was noted at the reveal so it is pretty cool that it was functional originally and now it’s a great detail line. The upsweep almost ties into the vertical bars as well. This was something that a couple of us really liked at the reveal-just a great character lineNice photo. I realize that the bed detail is also a callback to the styling detail on the original Scouts. But it’s bigger and deeper, and I suspect it helps with the Cd.
I also like the grab handle on the outside of the window. I do hope they put steps on the rear corners too, though other images/photos don’t show that (yet).
Whoever left that dirty boot print in the traveler should’ve been taken out back and been straightened out (not condoning violence-just saying’………Traveler seat and the floor mat looks to be more of a traditional carpet floor mat.
