Colorado Event

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scoutsā„¢. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Thank you to the Scout team , great to meet you and see the Traveler.
Iā€™m glad I switched my reservation last year to the Traveler from the Terra.

Range: Not finalized, Is based on the 35ā€™s
Cargo Area: Will have outlets and 12vā€™s, not added to concept.
Delivery Options: Not finalized
Hopefully a Factory pickup and tour will be available, especially for states like mine that block direct to consumer sales.

You can tell its hand made it the picture of the scout logo in the tire carrier, you can see that someone went a bit heavy with Dremel, I love how Scout is allowing us to get up close to them and they aren't pushing people away like most manufactures.

Also are 2 piston brakes enough? Even with regen? @Jamie@ScoutMotors

Also, you might want to change them rotors, they have a bit of foreign brown flakes. @CP1@scoutmotors

These are awesome. You take pictures like my husband takes pictures. If he was there I would have had at least 150 pictures and he would have taken pictures of every part of that car. I canā€™t wait until they are close to me and I can see the Traveler in person.
Thatā€™s how I roll too. Iā€™d easily have 100+ if I ever saw one in person.

Here are a few detail pics that were new to me at least. I know ... search the forums .... A couple of pouches were hung on the molle panel in the frunk. Very functional and looked cool as well. There is a sliding panel in the frunk which covers storage for the charging cords. The sliding mechanism seemed a bit finicky (staff opened it for me :)). I feel like a hinged top or one that drops in place would work more effectively. I fear dirt will get in those tracks. Further confirmation of USB-C ports on the dash mount! There are two, one on each end. And lastly, some closeups of the buttons. I thought I had a couple of shots from under the truck as well but those went missing somehow. The flooring under the mats is very washable which is great for trips to Moab!

I agree with the sentiment that this is a large vehicle and I am 6' 2". The rear load height is pretty high and the width will be an issue on many of Colorado's back country trails. Prepare for some pinstriping. As others have said, the Tahoe is a good comparison. The vehicle sits high, definitely an off-road configuration. I also think the roof rack makes a big difference in people's impression of the vehicle's size. Lastly, if the expected range is indeed based on the 35's as mentioned above, then I have some hope the range will improve with smaller tires and a lowered profile though the traveler will never win an aero contest.

These were taken with an Android phone, but you can blame the photographer for the quality issues.

Great photos. From the reveal the frunk sliding cover is intended to act as a front ā€œtailgateā€ so you slide forward and sit on it. We were also told intent is cord bin will be set with a drain hole/cover and can be used as a cooler.
All these photos makes me want to see it again in person. Preferably in my garage šŸ¤£
