Center Screen

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

From all the videos I've seen, not really liking how small the center screen is. I wish they would make it taller. I get why it's so wide, so the passenger can control things on the screen. But they really should make it taller too. Also if they can add a tilt option, if you're driving alone, you can tilt the furthest part of the screen towards you, would be amazing. Tesla does this, and I think it would be great if Scout can do it too.

So far loving everything about the vehicles! Day 1 reservation holder. Can't wait to get more info about the harvester generator.

Having sat in it I will say the screen position is very good and the main display screen will hopefully be configurable so that will help

In general, I think, if the description of the feature includes "Tesla does this," I'd prefer that Scout probably does something different.

We've got so many screens in our lives and the trend has for them to just keep getting bigger and having denser resolutions. I don't need fancy colors, cool fonts, and slick animations. I need a digital tuner on my AM/FM radio. I need Bluetooth pairing for my phone. I would like a map tied to GPS positioning... don't need a big, tall computer monitor to do that. My little cell phone screen manages pretty well

The dash was designed to highlight and call back to the horizontal lines of the Scout II's dash. So, it was intentionally wider than taller. I hear what you are saying, but I do not see that intentional design language changing between now and launch.

Same. I also really like how it doesn’t stick up over the dash. The dash is so pretty and you have that bar up on the top of the dash I wouldn’t want a screen blocking it.

I found a picture I took in Chicago that got part of the screen and then a picture my husband took. I love how it’s sandwiched in so to speak.

The only feature that I’ve heard isn’t going to be a thing that I would’ve liked would be a HUD but that’s definitely not a dealbreaker

Have we heard for sure there’s not going to be a HUD? I didn’t think we had confirmation either way, but I may have missed something.

Yes. The screen is nicely integrated versus an iPad attached to the dash that barely fits and looks like a gangly appendage

A HUD would fix everything.
