From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

A number of us have spoken to this multiple times. @dreamweaver covered it but a quick search will loop you in to why it’s HIGHLY unlikely

I do think they'll do it at some point, possibly lengthening the thing 12" or so and adding that.
I would prefer a follow on model that is smaller, ie, Scout 2 sized. I love the new new Traveler, but do wish there was something closer to Scout 2 size available as well. It'll be interesting to see if in 5 years I have that option for a 100" WB, narrower, 4 passenger SUV.

There was lots of hopeful conversations about this at the reveal. Seems SM wants to do it but has to establish themselves on money makers first. We can only hope
I have deposit on Harvester EREV and would like to love to know if there’s possibility of a 3 row (currently have Lincoln Aviator GT (PHEV, which Lincoln is now no longer making) and have had 3 Chevy Volts before that but four grandkids requires a three row.
No 3 row is planned/expected for traveller but many comments made that next SM model will be a designated 3-row SUV.

As long as it's an option. Idon't need a third row seat, nor do I want to haul around one that I will never use. This has turned me off of many SUVs
Agree. Wife has 3-row Honda Pilot and I laugh because it’s just the two of us and occasionally daughter when home from college. Seats are down 99% of the time. Wish they would have offered it without third row because with the captains chairs it’s nice, just an extra 120 lbs of weight to drag along

Given time, if the first 2 models are successful - I can easily see them doing a 3rd row SUV and a mid sized vehicle. I think a 3rd row would be fairly easy, given the truck already has the additional wheelbase necessary - and with no change in width their should not be any issues with fitting everything necessary. My only real question is how many people who want 3rd row seating in an off road vehicle. Sure Chevy does sell Z71 Suburbans, but I bet the vast majority of the Suburbans they sell are not. It is still a potential break from the initial Scout market. That said, I think there may be a bigger market for a mid-sized off road vehicle (at least from the feel of this forum).
I want a third row in an off-road vehicle because some of the places we go require permits that make it extremely advantageous to be able to put more people in the car instead of getting multiple, hard to come by reservations. Also, it’s just nice to bring friends, no? Plus, if it’s also your full-time vehicle it might be handy for a big family or out-of-town guests. And if I’m really going off-road, a Suburban is not a valid option.

I’d also plus one to the 3rd row option. Would make it the ultimate one adventure mobile option.
There has been a lot of discussion about a possible 3 row Traveler in the future. Possibly named Travelall.
