  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I don't see that as a Scout problem. In this case, that is an "off-grid" issue. Whether you are on-grid with solar (and sending excess power back to a utility) or off grid and using a L1 charger, the Scout is still doing the same thing (accepting energy at varying rates). I'm guessing your...

    Range anxiety

This makes no sense to me. If you want full range, don't charge to 80% - charge to 100%. Charging to 100% can actually be good for some batteries when going on road trips. I charge to 100% almost every other week!

    Range anxiety

Agreed. And at least in my R1T, I have access to a whole lot more information about charging, range, efficiency, vehicle health, etc. (if I want it), than I did in any ICE vehicle I have ever owned. I think the better the SW, the better the experience for the driver. Maybe another good reminder...

    Range anxiety

Most modern EV's allow you to set preferences and displays with data you want to see, including any range or efficiency data. I drove for 2 hours the other night and went from something like 80% to 50%, nothing about that was happening any slower or faster than it would watching a fuel gauge...

    Range anxiety

I'm not sure I follow. If a half a tank of gas gives you anxiety, showing a battery SOC icon at half will give you same anxiety, correct? If you elect to display range in miles and your truck shows you that you have 175 miles of range left (with either gas or electric), it's showing you the same...

Gotta give some props to Robert Redford and Brad Pitt for that one.

    Scout Motors Please Read

After dealing with infotainment systems from the Swedes, Japan and the big 3 OEM's it was quite refreshing to get a real infotainment system with Rivian. Hopefully that trickles down to Scout, b/c I have had exactly ZERO issues with my infotainment system in my R1T in 65K miles since 2022...

    R2 Launch Watch

Yep - Auto-tilt bugs me too. Also, as far as being a Gen1 owner and SW updates, yes, I just got the latest release and the UI/UX now has some of the same R2 feels. Rivian has done really great work with their SW updates, but it was a progression for sure. I can see Scout progressing slowly at...

    R2 Launch Watch

I would say my Rivian birds eye camera is the least used of my cameras. The distortion of image stitching combined with a birds eye view makes depth perception a little odd for me. It's great if you want to see how straight or crooked you are when parking. LOL.

    Battery used

Keep in mind that the majority of batteries for Scout production vehicles can be imported into the US after the current administration is gone. I'm quite certain that (regardless of party affiliation for the next administration) we will resume some semblance of normalcy when it comes to...

What will be your signature scent after new car smell wears off?

Essence de Ski Sock, Eau de Lax Bag & Slime of fishing boot.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

I might be wrong, but I don't think OEM's produce any vehicles with side mirrors deleted, due to local laws requiring physical side mirror(s) in order to be considered street legal.

Interior Concept: Could Scout Interiors Be Inspired by American Landscapes? — Florida Everglades & Cypress Wetlands

I'mma gunna pass on the swamp-gator interior, but I'm sure I can find something I'll like in the wild.

Drivers not happy with their car screens

These aren't screens and SW from the 2000's. Screens don't get slower with updates - if anything the SW optimizations make everything more responsive in modern vehicles.

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

100%. I need a bumper that is also FLAT on the top that I can stand on - esp at the tailgate! It doesn't have to be the full length of my foot, but a good toe-hold on top would be nice, and provide some added protection too. Rivian is a better than Range Rover in this department, but not by...

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

I really like the interior changes. Well done. Not a fan of that front bumper though. AI did something too mini-vanish to it! LOL
