Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Sounds like I got lucky when I bought my Dart in 2014. I wanted the Blackout package but the local Dodge dealership didn't have any - they might have suggested some similar options nearby, but they weren't what I wanted & I don't remember being pressured to pick one. So it got ordered from the factory & delivered to the showroom. Had to wait a few months, but I got what I wanted.

I've only bought 2 cars in my life (a 2004 Toyota Matrix - which I was less specific about) & both processes when smooth. But I also realize the landscape has changed in 11.5/22 years.

Just a little bit different now.

When I bought my Audi I test drove it and it had 11 miles on it. Came back the next weekday to sign everything and it had 194. The dealer had taken it to some “event” over the weekend and anything under 200 miles was still considered new.

I bitched at them enough to get them to add an extra level of AudiCare at no cost.

That car was cursed though and I was out of it ~18 months later. It was a sign!

They probably cursed it when they took it for the weekend

That’s so dirty. I walked out of a car purchase ~17 years ago where they reported the mileage based off of the trip odometer instead of the actual odometer. It had 8,000 miles when they told me it had like +-500. Their big courtesy to me was to knock off $500. I walked out. I went somewhere else and bought the same car for about a thousand bucks less with like 20 miles on it. I wish that dealership hadn’t been sold; they were not awful to deal with.

Car dealers, this is why people hate you.

I wouldn't be surprised.

I was rear ended and my car was in the shop for 8 weeks getting it repaired and then less than a month later I was rear ended AGAIN with another 6 weeks in the shop. Finally get the car back and the cruise control doesn't work anymore (something got thrown off during repair I think) which they were willing to fix for no cost but I was totally over it so traded in for an A3 which was one of my favorite cars I've owned.

I think karma came in to play because they paired me up with what I'm assuming was their least experienced salesperson and absolutely sold it to me at a loss with every accessory I asked for included.

Was hoping it would be more sedan-ish crossover than cute Ute but will have to see what it looks like when fully revealed

i wasn't a fan of the redesign at first but its growing on me. and how about that range?!
And there will be an ICE coming shortly after. Just finishing the touches on the new engines. Adding a little, bit of efficiency and performance, along with a touch of a pre combustion chamber.

I’m don’t know what it is or if I’m the odd man out but I just do not like the new look of BMW. It’s not even in your face polarizing-it’s just not appealing to me.
