I reserved the Terra - Harvester in hopes that Scout will won't fail me in terms of limiting the tow capacity of 5,000 lbs (Rumored).
I'd pay more for a stronger battery with the harvester to preventing limiting the towing from 10,000 to 5,000 lbs.
I will probably cancel if the rumor is true.
Welcome to the community. You are correct this is just a rumor at this point. We just have to wait and see.I reserved the Terra - Harvester in hopes that Scout will won't fail me in terms of limiting the tow capacity of 5,000 lbs (Rumored).

As a side note based on some long term BEV drivers, you could probably easily run your critical items from the pure BEV for a week or so as well. So both vehicles can be used as back ups.I love having backups. I love the harvester is a backup for when powers out or not accessible. We had a bomb cyclone in the NW last year and has power out for a week. Having a harvester in a vehicle I could back feed my home the whole time just by adding gas to the harvester most likely. All you need is a gas can in the back and you can go as far as you want into the country. Love th concept, scout is the first I think to do it right with battery vehicle with the gas back up support. Can’t wait and hope the option for harvester and lift doesn’t break the bank.
Welcome to the community! I’m so glad you found what you were looking for! There’s 2-1/2 years of info on here from other equally as excited people so have fun searching. A great follow is @Jamie@ScoutMotors he keeps us updated from the manufacturer side. Welcome again and have fun!I'm excited for the Terra Harvester! Scout is a cool brand, but it's not a nostalgia buy for me. Didn't grow up anywhere near the brand. My issue is I love the benefits of an ev platform (quiet, great torque through the entire power band, simple drivetrain with minimal error points, etc), but I have to drive 500 miles from the city up into the middle of nowhere pretty often, where the nearest supercharger is easily another 200 miles away. 10+ hour drives without that are just out of the question, and even with it are inconvenient at best.
This Harvester platform is what I've wanted to build for years, but someone (way better at it than myself) is finally doing it for a civilian pickup! If I am able to use the 150 mile electric range during the week around town, then rely on the harvester on weekends to recharge the battery back up and keep refilling along the way; this will be the perfect truck platform for my use and will likely get the attention of a lot of people in the midwest.
...plus it just looks freakin' gorgeous!!!

Hello! It’s not necessary unless you plan on buying more than one. You can change your mind between model and BEV or EREV when you place your order. Until then we are not locked in.I reserved a Traveler but wonder If I shouldn’t have reserved a Tera also. If final options are different or capabilities are much different I may prefer one over the other. Hmm maybe I should go reserve a truck now as well.
