Scott Keogh's 2024 Holiday Message

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Now this is more my style.

Does this count as an early Christmas Gift?

:D
Here is another one that we shared with employees today:

What I love about Scott Keogh is how he speaks to you, not at you. How he speaks with his heart. How he uses words that most people who are in the know of certain things "know". Using the phrase like "dialed in" for instance. Oh epic. But he is also passionate. And being able to just say Merry Christmas is a big thing. Yes, that matters to me. These last few years have been rough. I do remember saying Merry Christmas to a Target employee, and she said they aren't allowed to say that to people, because corporate thinks people will be offended.

Scout Motors will be successful because they are nailing it in so many ways.

Thank you, Scott, and to everyone on your team. I am proud to be a part of this journey, can't wait to watch the progression as we move toward delivery day.

P.S. I must also give a thank you to VW for entrusting in Scott and so many others to run this company this way. None of this would be possible without you, so I didn't want the boys back home in Wolfsburg to think their efforts are not appreciated as well.

I tried to DM Scott directly with nearly the exact same sentiments and it told me I couldn’t dm him direct so glad to see this post and I second your thoughts ?

My takeaway was that he’s more or less an empathetic human being trying to build a brand with compassion for its customers and its environment: not bulldozing the Red House, wanting to have a coffee or a beer with you, caring about you and your life and coming at it with kindness, not scorn or dismissal. We should all be so patient. I’m not. ? I lose patience quickly with “those people should” kinds of statements. And it hurts nobody to wish someone a happy whatever. I got a Hanukkah card this year from a friend and yet the crosses on my walls in my Catholic home didn’t burst into flames. I don’t mind sharing some joy, even if it’s not from the same building or the rituals came with a different set of words. We’re all trying to lead good lives.
