Ditto on boxy shapes. If I could drive a toaster I would. There seems to be an uptick in cars and cross-overs with weirdly shaped fenders, strange body panel bump-outs, and sloped rear roofs. They all appear (to me, at least) as "unattractive" - probably due to my own personal preference for boxy shapes. Did these designers all own Pontiac Azteks or something?
I actually find the lines on the old Volvo Wagons (rectangles on wheels) more attractive than these "hexagonal" body shapes. And for crissakes give me a flat roof line! LOL
For some reason I find the lines & shape of the BMW 740iX to be much more attractive than these crossover vehicles (but its a sedan) ZERO interest in actually owning one. But they do appear to my eyes to be much more "premium" than this other iX's in the line-up... I guess they should be for $120K. LOL.
Same.Ditto on boxy shapes. If I could drive a toaster I would.

Thanks for figuring that out.To clarify, this article was posted April 9. The reason Safari says it was updated two hours ago is because the site updated the article to include a "statement" from Scout. This appears to be what they added:

Now THAT is newsworthyWhile she didn’t confirm specific production dates, she did note that the team is still moving "full steam ahead."

Oh for goodness sake. I guess the AI just assumes all Jamie’s are women. So they didn’t bother to check gender…
That’s a great reporter…
Hmmm…. Not sure about this one…Found this on FB.
It's doable, the seagull is tiny with only a 125 hp motor and either 30 or 40 kWh packs. if you push over 1000 kW into it in a short amount of time it should reach 80% SOC pretty quickly.Hmmm…. Not sure about this one…
I heard they are completely subsidized. And they are using poor working condition labor. It's doable, the seagull is tiny with only a 125 hp motor and either 30 or 40 kWh packs. if you push over 1000 kW into it in a short amount of time it should reach 80% SOC pretty quickly.
Also because it's really a city car, the price isn't surprising. Currently these companies are being partially subsidized by their government which is allowing them to offer the vehicles at a lower price point. If I had to take a guess this car without subsidies would sell in China from $18,000 - $25,000 USD based on trim levels and options. The unsubsidized price of €22,390 - €27,890 ($25,000 - $31,000) makes it competitive on its own over in the EU where it is sold as the dolphin surf.
It’s China. 80% of their working conditions are poorI heard they are completely subsidized. And they are using poor working condition labor.
That’s excellent news!Found this today. A few weeks only but searched and didn’t see posted here. Scott gave some info—like half of the 32 prototypes are already being built in SC!
