New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

So I took a swing at some personal touch changes for my ideal Scout. The Mountainside is still too tall and off-road oriented for my needs. I changed the ride height to what I envisioned as the aero/street setting on air suspension. I changed the wheels to 20” with 285/60R20 Michelin Defender tires just like the actual concept. The front and rear bumpers drew on inspiration from the stock Scout II bumper style lines. They are smooth and aerodynamic. Recovery points and faux skid plates are removed. The Morning Dusk color is the same because it’s fantastic. Inside I made some changes as well. I changed out the wood accents to Black Walnut which is native to South Carolina. The leather is what I call Cobblestone. I drew inspiration from the color of Charleston’s cobblestone streets. They are a mottled gray/brown/taupe depending on the lighting. I think this interior would also transform based on lighting. The tweed is the same. The houndstooth headliner is just a little bit darker. Let me know your thoughts!

Not a fan of that front bumper though. AI did something too mini-vanish to it! LOL

I think it just reminds me too much of a BMW I think. If I just looked at the interior without seeing the exterior I would think that’s an X5 or something.

Could you maybe put in the hemp wood from the original concept build?

I’m certainly guilty of BMW bias!

I think the original and your preference really elevate the Scout. I prefer a more rugged look. This is why I hope we have more than just two choices.

I do to as far as fabrics and covers but that wood is not my thing. I like very simple wood graining

Choices are good! It would be nice to be able to choose the wood or material for the applique so you are not locked into one depending on your upholstery selection. I know, I know, I am just adding cost and complexity.

I wonder what the "tweed" is made of. The pictures remind me of the wool seating in BMW and Volvo. Wool is great as it is not hot or cold, breathes well and is odor resistant.

gotta say, I love how this transformed an off-roader, rugged, tough looking vehicle into something luxury.
for me, I'm not into wood grains on the interior, but I'm sure there will be other options. This traveler is quite stunning none the less.
I do miss the illuminated glass roof though.

Audi and BMW let you mix and match dash material and seating so very possible

The issue is that the Scout has a separate, removable bumper. Nowadays almost everything has a bumper cover. I was looking at the Range Rover EV to see what they did and it is probably one of the weakest parts of the design.

I guess it is fine, but Scout could do so much better with an actual bumper.

100%. I need a bumper that is also FLAT on the top that I can stand on - esp at the tailgate!

It doesn't have to be the full length of my foot, but a good toe-hold on top would be nice, and provide some added protection too.

Rivian is a better than Range Rover in this department, but not by much.

The best bumper I ever owned was an ARB on a pick-up. It was a little bit overkill for an OEM design, but it was wicked beefy.
