Not painted. Just a nice cast bronze bell with a leather collar.

Hers is a small one with leather and a few flowers or something like that painted on it. To be honest, haven’t seen it for a while so not sure what the painting is

S it hand painted? My wife has a small one from Germany that is painted. They are cool

This was in my grandmas kitchen and I got this when she passed away. It hangs in the pantry of every house I have had since.

I have a smaller one that goes on the other hook. The little ring broke. I need to fix it. It typically has two bells on it.

My parents have one from Switzerland as well. I was just there in January and was told by locals that it is unusual for them to be sold as those bells are somewhat considered heirlooms. My father told me he bought it from the farmer right off the cow. Knowing him that may be somewhere between 50% and 100% true.
