The original reveal vehicles were very cool colored lights. So yes, they’ve warmed them up quite a bit since then. I give credit to the OG’s on here as very early on we posted regularly about going warmer lights to help the scout stand out and tie a bit of the vintage to it. Hoping the current lighting temperature makes it to the finish lineThey look blue in this photoView attachment 14320

Will completely agree. Just wonder the cost and will the “bean counters” want that added cost at the end of the day. Would be cool to have a bit more modern feel and a vintage throwback feel. And certain colors-like the reveal slate blue looked good in cool but the Tahitian red looks better with the warmer colorWarmer and cooler temperatures settings in the facia lights would be nice
It would also add a little more personality to each scout if the owner can adjust it, but IF they built them so we can change the ambient exterior temperature I could also seeing it being a Gen1 featureWill completely agree. That would be cool to do it gen 1 or even launch only just to have something slightly unique. It’s the cool little details and Easter eggs that cost Pennie’s but make a launch vehicle special. Like a unique plaque or something that will always set it apart even if other owners end up with itIt would also add a little more personality to each scout if the owner can adjust it, but IF they built them so we can change the ambient exterior temperature I could also seeing it being a Gen1 feature

I don’t think I have ever read so many differing opinions on headlight colors in my life.Whoa. We are worlds apart here. Like, WAY different.
I really like 4000k.
(at least for general interior lighting. Not so cool to feel cold/uninviting, not so warm to feel "yellow").
TBH, I've never actually thought tons about what color temperature I'd want for the Scout.
Don’t get me wrong. I like it with the cooler color too but everyone does that so being a bit warmer just helps set it apart. Like interior wise I like a cooler tone so long as it doesn’t make the interior glow. I like the idea of color change as well if the have it set up to run full range of colors for LED. Having complete control of color is cool and Acura had preprogrammed color palettes where bottom lighting might be dark blue and upper was light green and they were themed for all the race tracks and regional areas. I think what would be really cool is the combo of both. Set a bottom half on one control and upper half on another and then driver could make them match or die purple on top and cool white on bottom. Then it would be endless color combos. As an upgrade I’d pay for that. I’d also like the ceiling to have 200 LED slow blinks so if you sleep in it you’d have “stars” above youI don’t think I have ever read so many differing opinions on headlight colors in my life.![]()

I mostly just had to have an opinion, because I figured... it would be funnierI don’t think I have ever read so many differing opinions on headlight colors in my life.![]()
Oh, yes, was it Rolls, or Maybach who did this?Like a Rolls?
I feel this post - light temperature is incredibly subjective; some people can't tell the difference, or just don't care, between 2700 and 6000. To me it makes a huge difference!!I mostly just had to have an opinion, because I figured... it would be funnier. In reality, 3600k, and 4000k are so close, most people would have a hard time telling the difference. So I had to say something dramatic... that was actually almost the same, for the lolz.
I feel J and I "know" each other well enough that I could call it out like that, without hard feelings, or getting banned (fingers crossed!).
I pretend to be a photographer sometimes, so color temperatures is actually something I'm moderately more accustomed to thinking about that the avg consumer (or so I tell myself).
Although I do generally like warmer-ish color temperatures. I can't stand it when indoor lights for a normal house are the super "blue" 6500k bulbs. Its just so uninviting. 4000k is what we went with in our house, because its... what I could find. Its generally 2700k, 3000k, 4000k, 5500k, and 6500k. We have mostly 4000k indoors, except a few places (lamps mostly, but a few places where I still had so many perfectly functional 3000k bulbs that I just had to keep using them, like in the bathrooms).
Some solid points there. I could see a 5000K level where it is white without any “yellow” or “blue” so it is a pure white.I feel this post - light temperature is incredibly subjective; some people can't tell the difference, or just don't care, between 2700 and 6000. Inside I prefer a more traditional feel, and went with all 2700k in the house, but there is variation, even within the same brand and model, so it took longer than it should have. I love the new LED Christmas tree lights, how they basically never burn out, don't get hot and pull negligible electricity, but finding warm white ones is nearly impossible, I probably hold the record for same day Christmas light returns at my local Home Depot.
On my cars, I still like the warmer lights inside and 6000 in the headlights, because I do like being able to see when I'm driving, but any colder and I feel you run the risk of hitting too deep into the blue scale, and I don't need anybody thinking I'm a high school kid from 1994 with a coffee can on the end of my exhaust pipe.
So if I get a vote, I don't really care if the DRL's are adjustable, but color and brightness adjustments on the interior lights would be great!
For the Xmas lights, have you seen the Technology Connections guy’s videos about led xmas lights? He finally found some that he doesn’t find offensive.I feel this post - light temperature is incredibly subjective; some people can't tell the difference, or just don't care, between 2700 and 6000. I am an amateur expert on lighting. I am 3000k on nearly everything. 4000k looks like you are in an operating room.Whoa. We are worlds apart here. Like, WAY different.

TBH, I've never actually thought tons about what color temperature I'd want for the Scout. 3600k could be totally fine. I just had to say something "WAY" different (that actually looks pretty close IRL), because reasons.
I have 5000K in the garage, 4000K in the working areas inside (kitchen, hall, etc.), and 2700K on inside living areas. I can tell the difference.I feel this post - light temperature is incredibly subjective; some people can't tell the difference, or just don't care, between 2700 and 6000.
