Wait. Now they are saying price is over $60 or EREV is over $60?I like that he’s still talking about a price in the $60s. He’s saying a little higher at $65. That I can still totally do.

I see Scout bringing out the vintage scout fire truck to rescue youOh I totally am. Don’t care. Get me on that mountain!
I have no clue. I think if anything today has shown that until SM actually announces something official like on their website and not reporters interpreting what Scott said like a game of telephone we don’t know diddly.Wait. Now they are saying price is over $60 or EREV is over $60?

ME! ME! ME! Pick ME!If you really want to get your truck early, buy an EREV Terra (or Traveler) with a promise to race it in the 2028 Mint 400 alongside the 1976 Scout Terra (link to recent story). That should get your Scout onto the production line early, since the race is in March. You will of course have to spec all the premium off-road options ($$$), but I am sure that one of you was planning to do that anyway.
For those unaware, the Mint 400 has a "Stock Production Truck Full <Size>" class. It is for "Vehicles built from a full sized 2 or 4 wheel drive utility or SUV type vehicle." and "Vehicle must be marketed as full size." In 2026 there are only three participants, so there isn't a lot of competition. Of course that competition is Ford Racing, Ford Performance, and Chevy Performance. But it is a friendly competition (the event purse is $0), so no worries, right?
I'm sure if you ask here you can get volunteers for additional drivers and a pit crew.
Oh I’m taking some of the pictures that Jamie posts on Friday and making them PBY. Just look at it! PBY is just beautiful!I can live with that

My favorite are the ones my husband took at Nats turned into PBY.In that setting it’s almost too yellow. It looks like the light yellow on the heritage broncos.
Here is something shown in the video. Perhaps they are from Scott Keogh's recent discussion? It gives a look at Harvester changes, including the moved gas tank and raised air intake at the rear pillar. I'm not sure if that's the gas filler near the air intake.
I agree. It's ridiculous. I just watched this. Scout is mentioned in the first 2.30. Yes, they need to go away.
Unless it’s a SM video I take everything with a grain of salt. Here is something shown in the video. Perhaps they are from Scott Keogh's recent discussion? Unrelated query. Did you create that SM logo? I really like how it echos the IH. In fact I like it better than any of the other ‘official’ Scout artwork we’ve seen so far (logo-wise I mean)Are y'all keepin that stand a pines to claim farm use?
We did this for a bunch of years growing up in Denver, mostly with the ‘62.Christmas tree farm. Nothing looks better than hauling home the family tree on the back of your Scout
Thanks and yes I did. It’s very satisfying to hear that you saw the IH “man on tractor” logo as well. I keep waiting for Scout make me an offer!Unrelated query. Did you create that SM logo? A little info, but I'd love to hear the whole thing.

Everyone is going to have their own opinion on this. All I think we can agree on is that SM has reservations that they are going to try to convert as many as possible and then they are going to try to fill them as expeditiously as possible. Beyond that all these dates we are throwing out are just speculation at this point."September 2022 incorporation were spent designing a battery-only platform. It wasn’t until October 2024 that a gasoline range-extender was announced"
One thing to keep in mind is that announcement timing can come far later than actual activity behind the scenes. So we really don't know how far behind EREV development is behind BEV. And remember, production/delivery target was originally 2026, then 2027, now 2028. These things happen with new brands, factories, etc.
As posted before, my grounded, objective speculation is that Scout is working to get EREV caught up to BEV and will launch/deliver EREV in mid-2028 for MY29. Then BEV in mid-2029 for MY30. That's not trolling, that's trying to be realistic.
Now that everyone's been grounded in realism, when can I order this?

Should Scout add a compact model?
The first thing you notice when you see the new Scout Traveler and Terra is just how big they are. The Traveler measures about 191 inches long without theburlappcar.com
My first childhood dream car was certainly atypical -

Little Rivian R3 competitor. That actually looks really cool with their styling details."September 2022 incorporation were spent designing a battery-only platform. It wasn’t until October 2024 that a gasoline range-extender was announced"

I don’t see BEV being that far from launch unless scout is willing to send out orders and tell those that have changed their mind to BEV they’ll have to circle back later, all because they didn’t update their reservation, realistically were probably talking a split build based on the active batch, which would be intended to be majority EREV based on reservations, but that’s also assuming most reservations turn to orders. As posted before, my grounded, objective speculation is that Scout is working to get EREV caught up to BEV and will launch/deliver EREV in mid-2028 for MY29. There’s so many variables. Heck rising gas prices could lead to people taking a second look at the BEV.I don’t see BEV being that far from launch unless scout is willing to send out orders and tell those that have changed their mind to BEV they’ll have to circle back later, all because they didn’t update their reservation, realistically were probably talking a split build based on the active batch, which would be intended to be majority EREV based on reservations, but that’s also assuming most reservations turn to orders.
