Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Not sure if this has already been shared but looks like there been a decision on prioritization made. I’ve always been team EV but now wondering how much extra time I’ll have to wait for that. While committing to a target of 2028 for EREV, there’s not even a bother to mention if the EV model will happen in the year…
This says even less than what I thought was being reported. It did not even say that the EREV will delivered before the EV - just that the EREV deliveries are not expected to be delayed significantly.

Hard to say what they are actually planning on production lines. They could easily be focusing on getting one line up and running, with planned parallel additions as they ramp up capacity. Given these are mostly common platform - a single line might get production started quickest, with dedicated lines added as demand mix is more concrete. Getting all models on the road will firm up demand rates.

I heard theres a point in the course where you jump over 77. They call it the battery impact test with live participants.

It is on the north end of the property and grading just started in the last month. You can see "Scout Mountain" above upper-right. It is about 60ft tall.

I Think scout might be using two lines in total. One for Terra and one for Traveler. Unless they are using one line for both. But i know uncle scotty said that because its a very slight change from erev to ev that they would both be installed on one line.

It is one assembly line for both vehicles. The assembly line carriers have the ability to adapt to different sizes of vehicles on the same line. EREV and BEV are the same vehicle platform, one with the engine bits and one without.

I refuse to even watch any videos or read anything mentioning this ridiculous law suit!
I find the whole direct-to-consumer thing rather amusing in a sick way. Musk really pushed for direct-to-consumer to ditch the dealer model, meanwhile he's employing dealer pricing tactics on a scale that makes dealer lobbying groups jealous. I've frankly got some really good dealers near me, and I enjoy haggling for the best price instead of the one-price for everyone model. I'd much prefer a local dealership experience, but Rivian might've soured me on the service end of this DTC model. I don't expect Scout to do much better, being a new brand, with me not living in one of the largest metro areas.
