It’s going to be so weird when I have that. My Wrangler doesn’t warn me of any impending danger. I’m on my own! With all the latest safety feature becoming standard that should never happen. I know my Lincoln won't let me back in to anything.
That’s cool techI like seeing a lot of these off grid charging solution popping up lately.

I know. I just sit here laughing imagining backing up in an older car and the car BONK!With all the latest safety feature becoming standard that should never happen. I know my Lincoln won't let me back in to anything.
I have no issue with start/stop. Not sure why it bugs so many people. After only one experience driving an automatic Start/Stop, 50% fuel savings wouldn't convince me to buy one. It is just irritating. Granted, I don't rack up much mileage annually. As for the fuel efficiency regulations, my opinion is that Americans do love the gas guzzlers and will buy them. I mean, what is the Tacoma without the V6, the Mustang and Camaro without the V8? I love muscle cars like any other and I love my current V8 SUV, but I am ready to move on.
What did we do without backup screens?I know. I just sit here laughing imagining backing up in an older car and the car BONK!
I can confirm my 76’ allows me to back into things…… won’t share the story on what happened. All I will say is the post under this is a roughly on what happened.I know. I just sit here laughing imagining backing up in an older car and the car BONK!

S... happens. I feel your pain.Hit the family car while reversing into a driveway you have reversed into 100+ times in multiple different vehicles, including the one you hit…
Man I don’t know. I’ve been using a company pick up a lot lately. 4-cyl TACO and has a key to open and close. But even it has back up camera which is great because it’s obviously bigger than my accord but first time I drove it I was worried because I had to back into a space. Guess it’s basically a safety feature on nearly all new vehiclesWhat did we do without backup screens?![]()

After renting a BEV, for everyday driving my V8 ICE is irritating. Having to "start" the engine, accelerating, engine revving, gear changing and that initial hesitation. Really? I can see why those with EVs don't go back.I have no issue with start/stop. Not sure why it bugs so many people.
I can’t imagine driving a Kei car on a 70 mph highway. Couldn’t even get to that speed and sitting duck with large SUVs on the interstate. In NYC-sure, great car size and other countries make very cool small/micro cars but now they all get smacked with tariffs. The original honda civics succeeded for same reason in 70’s/80’s due to oil embargoes and crazy fuel prices. That would probably be considered a micro car this day and age. I’ll stick with a large Scout and BEV and get similar miles for similar costs as a micro death trapI saw the Head of the WH wants small cars like Japan. He said we would like the DOT to approve the idea.

They are still ICE vehicles. Those are so small they are dwarfed by the Miata.I saw the Head of the WH wants small cars like Japan. He said we would like the DOT to approve the idea.
I’ll give some insight to this as well, even though it’s supposed to be kept quiet until after the full 7 days: after testing a BMW X3 2026 for 3 of 7days so far, here’s what’s sticked out, It’s 48v mild Hybrid system, is a complete game changer, with Auto start stop, shifting, and hesitation. Everything is so smooth. The engine starting and stopping at lights you can’t feel, turbo lag is non existent. It’s a very quiet cabin, besides the fake exhaust sounds from BMW. It gets me excited for my Scout. And the X3 reminds me of a miniature version on the BMW XM. But more comfort than sport, but heck does it put you into the seat. After renting a BEV, for everyday driving my V8 ICE is irritating. I still don’t understand how Smart Cats were a thing. So tiny.I can’t imagine driving a Kei car on a 70 mph highway.
