From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

My wife's pickup is fob key. We have had it 3 years I am still looking for the start button when I get in.
Hello! I finally bought some and it worked wonders. My Wrangler passenger door is very hard to open. I have tried a million things and this worked the best. Thanks for the suggestion.
Stellantis needs to do something. I would agree they shouldn’t focus on self driving. They need to come up with some fresh ideas.

I do like pre-programmed "hands-free" stretches, but I only use it to loosen my grip on the wheel and relax for a few minutes.
There are times where I get really anxious and get aggressive in traffic, and it would be safer for me and everyone else to let the car take over for a while.
I have never tried full self driving but our Odyssey has Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise. It is not really capable of handling the stop and go traffic that really triggers my anxiety.
It’s also overwhelming for me when all the kids are talking at the same time in the car and I would be a lot more relaxed if I could divert my attention for a few seconds to acknowledge them.
Not sure if I would ever trust it on rural roads around here, but on road trips I will welcome the relief.
I think Level II+ will give me exactly what I am looking for but I just don’t think I would fork out extra cash for point to point full self driving.
I get incredibly anxious when driving and experience too much stimulus. But self-driving adds to the anxiety for me. I've tried Ford Blue Cruise in stop-and-go freeway traffic in LA and it's way worse than just doing it myself. I've been a passenger in a brand-T car with FSD, and it was the worst vehicular experience I’ve had besides actual accidents. T’s FSD stopped in the middle of a rural highway because it couldn’t figure out the left turn it was supposed to make onto a gravel road. So it started, then stopped, blocking both lanes of the highway.
But Blue Cruise on the highway without too much traffic? That’s fine.
I’m too much of a control freak when I drive. I don’t even like being a passenger. No thanks. Just let me drive.
I’m like you, I like being in the drivers seat. The only place I MIGHT be comfortable with Blue Cruise is a divided highway. Brief periods of relaxed concentration might be ok. I’ve said it in another place on the forum, BC is too dependent on all of the other drivers behaving themselves. THEY DON’T! Ask me how I know.

All automated driving is too dependent on other drivers behaving themselves. People like to use the “million miles” driven by the various learning algorithms as if that’s a lot of miles. Humans in the US drive about 3.3 TRILLION miles every year. That’s a 3.3 million million miles. The algorithms have learned a total of less than one third of 0.0001% of the number of miles humans drive every year. And they’re concentrated in a very few regions (because of where most of the vehicles with advanced systems are sold).
And the algorithms are generally very poorly programmed because the developers don’t know much about most kinds of driving and situations.

I’d say for me it would be a total waste. I just wouldn’t ever use an automated driving feature aside from a novelty scare-me trip or two just to see how it acts for the heck of it, then I’d go back to driving myself. I love driving.
