The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I'm sure for some people, this is just another day at the office, but when I look at the scale of this build and how fast it is going together..it's just amazing. The semis look tiny next to these buildings. But the real mystery is where is everybody? I'd expect tens of thousands of people to be swarming over this thing 24/7, yet it always looks calm and quiet. I'm guessing these photos are taken on weekends. If so, it'd be nice to get some "action" shots.

OK we did our drive-by a few days ago, finally holding in one place for a bit so could make time to organize photos. A few notes -
  • Stayed in the delightful and luxurious Home2 Suites nearby. Best Only option for Hilton. Our view from top floor facing west didn't reveal too much from afar due to treeline.
  • Had exquisite dinner and breakfast at Lizard's Thicket, also nearby.
  • Mall cop staged behind the Red House crept up in his vehicle as we walked past the house and towards big shed & factory; he seemed mildly annoyed when I said we were "just tourists" but was pleasant enough to us. When I told him "Jamie sent us" he wasn't impressed at all and chased us away.
  • Locklier Rd. seems to no longer be public (or even exist); Community Rd. remains public and provided some good roadside views (in parts 2-3)

Nice Pictures

Don’t get Jamie in trouble. Even though me and him have some silent beef at the moment.

Well there's a bit of satire in there. I thought of asking security guy to take our photo in front of "Forging the Future" shed after he asked us to leave, but didn't think he'd appreciate the ask.

Our boys really enjoyed the stop, one now wants to work for a large construction contractor (let's see if/when/how his Eagle Scout project goes). Coming back with them in a few years for delivery should be good times.

As an Eagle Scout mom, good luck with the project. It’s a lot of work, but so worth it. Thanks for the pictures and the unofficial update!

Kudos to you on your road trip. That’s awesome. Did Paul Blart physically chase you out. Maybe on a Segway-🤣
Well done ⭐

Love that you all wanted to drive by and see progress. Plus it looks like you got the first public photos of our training center.

That said, this is an active construction site with a LOT of heavy machinery moving around. Security will ask you to leave if you try to go on the property itself. We don’t want anyone getting hurt.

In the future, we will organize a tour for the community plus throw a few Scout Community events at the factory. We can’t wait.

If you combine the best attributes of those two boys in front of the Red House, you'd have one solid Eagle Scout contender. So we'll see how that goes...

Well I saw him in a vehicle as we approached the 'Forging the Future' shed - I wanted a photo of boys in front of that big Scout logo. But then he drove up like 10 ft. towards us for the (mild) interrogation. Funny I didn't notice what he was driving, now I'm curious if BEV or if he was ICE-idling for endless hours there.

A better PR approach vs. 'no photos and please leave' might have been an offer to escort us to that shed and take a photo for us. But as Jamie notes it is an active construction site and they probably don't want to give the perimeter-patrol too much liberty to get creative with tourists.

I agree with your PR. I have certain situations at work and tournament judging where a simple gesture of offering to take the photo and managing the situation-everyone walks away for the better. That said-I guess he could have tasered you 🤣
