  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Really fell in love with the design. Wishing Volkswagen eventually makes the Scout ev car available to order in Europe as well. Let me know if you need beta testers.

Wishlist:
- The incentives here often favour full ev over plug in hybrids, if they made an extra long range bigger battery version I would be grateful.
- Air filter for pollen allergies and pollution. Included in other ev models, would be useful for the Scout nature off road and summer camping 🏕️
- Sleek sleeping bed integration
- winter equipment like:
1) a heat pump and other winter equipment would be quite handy.
2) Isolating heat and noise. Being able to car camp sleep during cold winter blizzards.

I’ve have some years experience driving the model Y LR for long roadtrips into multiple nations. I would want to switch over to the Scout ev. If they need any testing, or help, I would love to test drive and provide feedback for the Scout driver experience in my country Norway 🇳🇴 and driving around Europe 🇪🇺 Feel free to contact me. Either volunteering or some deal.

Hello! I hope you guys eventually get it, too. Norway seems rad. I hope I can make it there for a visit someday. Thanks for paper clips and gas turbines (the latter at the microscale kept me employed for my young adult years, so extra special thanks to Jens Ægidius Elling for that).

Don’t forget we invented the cheese slicer as well, what would the world do without? 🧐

Let me know if you’re in Oslo, the capital.
Will introduce you to our traditional staples like brown goat cheese, Norwegian waffles, mackerel in tomato. Salmon sushi is also invented by Norwegians, not Japanese as many believe 🍣

I love Norway for its fishing and skiing. Norwegians also have great respect and appreciation for heavy metal music - not as great as Finland, but its a thing. 🤟
