Well if I'm picking it up in NC, first song I'm playing is Ozzy "Mama I'm coming home"
Another GREAT choice.Well if I'm picking it up in NC, first song I'm playing is Ozzy "Mama I'm coming home"
LOVE that song!I have been working on a Scout Song playlist in Spotify. I now have 7 hours and 57 minutes of music in my playlist. My goal is to have enough so I can listen to my playlist the whole way home from my factory pick up.
I was listening to it yesterday and boy it’s eclectic, and I think that is an understatement. Everything from Kendrick Lamar to Paul Simon to Squeeze to Taylor Swift. It’s fun because it reminds me of all different eras of my life and life with my husband and kids.
I decided my first song is going to be Etta James song At Last. It was our first dance song at our wedding 35 years ago. I figure this whole journey with my husband has gotten me to this place. We have had many firsts in 35 years, when we pick up my Scout it will be 37 years, and another first. First factory pick up of one of our vehicles. So Etta James it is.
At last, my love has come along

I’m totally adding those to my playlist!!I just had a thought. The last Scout rolled of the production line on October 21, 1980. These were Billboard's Top 10 songs for the week ending October 25, 1980:
1 WOMAN IN LOVE –•– Barbra Streisand
2 ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST –•– Queen
3 HE’S SO SHY –•– The Pointer Sisters
4 UPSIDE DOWN –•– Diana Ross
5 REAL LOVE –•– The Doobie Brothers
6 LADY –•– Kenny Rogers
7 THE WANDERER –•– Donna Summer
8 ALL OUT OF LOVE –•– Air Supply
9 I’M ALRIGHT –•– Kenny Loggins
10 NEVER KNEW LOVE LIKE THIS BEFORE –•– Stephanie Mills
It seems fitting that some of these should be on your playlist when picking up your new Scout.
The Wanderer seems 100% perfect. As in “not all who wander are lost” seems about right for Scout lovers. I’ll forget this is here in two years but I love the ideaI just had a thought.
