What do you all do? Curious about Scout buyers occupations, or former occupations.

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I just saw this thread existed! I've mentioned it before in other threads, but I'm a carpenter and owner of a general contracting business. My purchase of a Terra is as much shallow (for me) as it would be practical (for business). www.hhrenovationstx.com if anyone cares to just take a look. :)
Wow - That's a beautiful ceiling in the main photo!!!

Okay I just have to say this, done hate me. That pattern reminds me of Fruit Stripe gum from when I was a kid.

For work, I pry deep into customers' minds and pull out ideas, feelings and thoughts they're unable to verbalize. Afterwards, they're often left in need of relationship counseling, which I can also help with, though I'm not certified. In layman's terms, I do custom home design. :ROFLMAO:

They definitely need relationship counseling after trying to design/build a home, lol.

I was so proud of that one! Obviously, since it's the head-line photo. :D That one was pine ceiling with cedar accents and we didn't stain, we just sealed it. I designed it on Sketchup first, then we built!
Some day we will cross paths at an event and will need to talk shop. I’d love to compare costs in TX vs PA. It’s probably mind blowing

I’ve said for years I should have taken Psychology classes as apart go architecture school. Some day when everyone’s up for adventure we’ll have to start a look what I designed or built thread just to drop pics in. Maybe someone will hire us. Since our southern office is Charlotte I’m really hoping the SM exec team connects and requests I fly down to custom design their homes. Would be so fulfilling to creat a home for them and their Scouts 😀

Even more than prying on new home is my joy of surveying existing homes. The stuff people leave out in the open in their homes just never ceases to amaze me. And I have a doozy of a photo collection. Like fishing and telling stories on here-if you don’t have pics it didn’t happen 😀

Long term disability claims specialist to fund my various projects (off grid cabin, cedar strip canoe, mahogany runabout, etc). In a former life I taught math and coached swimming. I would love to figure out how turn my projects into my income, but haven’t quite solved that equation yet.

That is an impressive portfolio. Puts my chicken coop to shame.... Although I never claimed to be handy ha.
