What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Ineos has an option where you can get part of the frame red. I loved that option.

Love the Ineos. They picked one of the best Modular BMW engines for it. The B58 when down tuned is a beast. One thing Ineos failed on is the gas tank. Every used Ineos the car fax says replaced Fuel tank like 3 times.

I thought it was funny when I test drove it that it’s the same engine that’s in our Supra.
Its a very good engine when taken care of properly even when out of warranty. And its really because they can handle alot of stress when stock. I’ve seen people pushing close to 500hp on stock components.

I find it funny that every time BMW is involved with building a car from scratch with another brand they always have the same formula of three countries, Germany, France, England. Beside Toyota since thats just a Z4.

The early Minis that came to the USA were Built in the UK, had a Engine developed by BMW and Peugeot. Like how is it possible.

And then you have Ineos(UK), Engine BMW, Built in the old G wagen factory in France.

Weird!!!

The INEOS factory in France is the former Smart car factory, which was a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz and Swatch. G-Wagens have always been built in Graz, Austria, in the same plant that made the Supra/Z4.

All I needed to see when it came to the Ineos Grenadier, right here:

*The official EPA fuel economy ratings for the Ineos Grenadier range from 14 to 15 MPG combined, depending on the model and trim.
Oh yeah terrible, but they have safari windows @R1TVT SAFARI WINDOWS!

That was my favorite feature on the Grenadier.

But does it have a nice compass?

:-)
That is a pretty nice compass:

@cyure - Since you've test driven every recent vehicle known to man, how many have a physical compass of some sort?

I think just the Grenadier. I do love the console on the Grenadier. All the buttons and switches, in the overhead too. The BMW shifter is a little out of place though.

I'd never really thought about it and have grown so accustomed to having one up on my dash in my Toyota, spinning around and doing its thing. I rarely ever need one since I know what direction I'm going, but it's been handy teaching the kid cardinal directions and such.

The Graz factory is also owned by Magna. So it’s a contracted factory. Which is perfect for low production vehicles.

Also every YouTuber and their mother says old gwagen factory.

Any console like this where the dash is interupted with a high screen like that is deal breaker for me, but the buttons and knobs below vents look nicely proportioned. I can't remember which 4X4 I test drove with a similar set up (maybe Jeep?) but couldn't get past it.

Gotta have me a flat dash!
