These are rad.I make polymer clay sculptures. These are done with different colored clays, not paint (and yes, one of those light-bulb heads was the turn signal from my car). I mostly stopped when my lab burned down a few years ago but hope to start again if things ever calm down again.

Motorcycles used to be a big part of my life until I was hit by a texting driver a few years ago. I am very passionate about Enduro riding and it brings me peace like nothing else can.
Got a new bike last weekend. I’m stoked! So far I’ve ridden it every day since I got it.
This morning I am meeting up with a newbie rider and we are heading to Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area to run their single track loop.
I don’t think we will finish but we are going go have a blast trying.
I’m so excited that I was up until 2am this morning ordering luggage, shopping for nav units, and packing my backpack with tools, water, spare tubes, etc. Then I had to wake up at 6am to get to the rally point, but I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.
This judgement free zone! Especially hobbies. People like what they like and if it brings you joy that’s all that matters. Sorry it’s in storage. My hobbies are cooking, making art when the mood hits, and uh one more thing that I am definitely embarrassed to disclose because of the harsh judgment that usually follows, which is to say doll and toy collecting. And for the love of Scouts, no, this isn’t a sex pervert thing.
Here’s one of my favorite dolls dressed to go camping in Pennsylvania a couple of years ago (in the end, she did not make the trip with me, but those could have been some cool photos). I think the appeal of dolls is miniature stuff. These clothes are ridiculously detailed and incredibly well-made. You can do a lot of neat customization with them and they’re extremely posable. They’re great photography subjects. STOP JUDGING MEEEEE

One of my dream projects is to make a 1:3 scale Scout II for them as a fun photography accessory.I lack the capital to make this a reality at the moment, but it would involve a lot of 3D printing and me learning how to use 3D modeling software.
These were easier to amass when I had a job. Disability has caused me to cut back on my doll habit. If there’s ever a Barbie trivia question at bar trivia, I can answer it (or correct what they got wrong). NOW NEVER MAKE ME TALK ABOUT THIS TO NORMALS AGAIN.
I also collect stuff related to The Clash. Not shown in this photo of my old home but facing opposite of the cabinet with tiny pieces of plastic crap: signed Shepard Fairey print of Joe Strummer that is actually worth something. All of this stuff is currently in storage.

I understand the appeal of the dolls and toys - we have a huge collection of action figures (i.e. dolls that are "ok for boys to have"My hobbies are cooking, making art when the mood hits, and uh one more thing that I am definitely embarrassed to disclose because of the harsh judgment that usually follows, which is to say doll and toy collecting. The ride was success. Around 150 miles round trip.Just be careful, but have fun!!

Glad to hear you made it back safely. Part of the problem with getting older. A few weeks ago I threw out my lower back leaning forward to pick up a cast iron pan with a lid. Absolutely ridiculous. Had to go to the doctor and everything. The ride was success. Around 150 miles round trip.
No broken bikes.
However, as soon as I got home everything started to hurt. Definitely a wake up call to how out of shape I am![]()
That’s amazing! Were you the first on the block to get Hot Wheels? My grandfather was a tool and die maker. After the War, he left the military industrial complex to take a job with a relatively new company called Mattel.
He was responsible leading the teams that built the dies for Barbie and Hot Wheels.
No. I never really knew my grandparents; I met them once or twice, but that was all. That’s amazing! Were you the first on the block to get Hot Wheels?
Sorry about your back man. That does not sound like fun and must have been pretty humiliating.Glad to hear you made it back safely. Part of the problem with getting older. Take it easy, glad you had fun!!
That’s terrible.No. I never really knew my grandparents; I met them once or twice, but that was all.
My mother and aunt were the first in the world to get to play with some of the barbie prototypes before they were put into production. Similarly with Hot Wheels. They had a pile of the dolls and cars for a while… but a bad actor took them and sold them off without permission.
I have started Pilates. And honestly I need to get back to kickboxing too. I need to move more!!Sorry about your back man. That does not sound like fun and must have been pretty humiliating.
We both need to start doing Yoga!
I used to go and it helps a lot with flexibility and can prevent strains.
Hmm…My hobbies are cooking, making art when the mood hits, and uh one more thing that I am definitely embarrassed to disclose because of the harsh judgment that usually follows, which is to say doll and toy collecting. And for the love of Scouts, no, this isn’t a sex pervert thing.

Cool. No judgement. Had a boss that played D&D in a previous life and he painted cast miniatures-like the 1/64-needed a magnifying glass to see to paint with fine hair brushes. Anyway he showed me in confidence once and was totally embarrassed. I, on the other hand was blown away and thought it was one of the coolest hobbies I ever saw. I still play D&D. But don’t have the fine-detail skills for miniature painting. I’m always impressed by the patience and skill needed to do that.Cool. No judgement.
