Seattle Scouts

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Hi,
Didn't see a group yet for the Seattle/PNW area so thought I'd start one. Looking forward to connecting with other fans and enthusiasts of the Terra and Traveler and future Scout vehicles.

I'm in the Seattle area and currently own an R1T and a couple of hybrids. I put in a reservation for the Traveler and I'm excited to learn more as we get closer to production.

In case anyone is interested, I also started a community in Reddit for the Scout Traveler: https://www.reddit.com/r/ScoutTraveler/

Thanks for making this group. Checking in from Spokane and reserved a Scout Traveler with the Harvester.

In the Seattle/Hood Canal area. I have a VW ID.4 but the Scout Traveler would hopefully replace our Ford Explorer. I’ve always wanted a Scout since seeing a few in Alaska growing up. Subaru’s dominate there but occasionally you would see a rare Scout that someone kept up. They were often rusted but working and well regarded.

I can’t say I’m a car “person” - but I’m enthusiastic enough about the scout to post on a forum.

Also in Seattle - reserved the Terra and Traveler, both with the Harvester option. We'll decide on one when it gets closer to release. Initially leaning towards the Traveler since it'll be replacing our current SUV, but planning on towing a camper (would love to get the electric Pebble when it comes out if I somehow inherit a small fortune!!), so we might end up going with the Terra for the greater towing capability.

    Hey guys,

Washington state is starting to look at removing the ban on direct-to-consumer sales of vehicles via bill HB 1721 and SB 5592. Please voice your desire to enact these by following this link for a pre-done message, or from the bill's pages.

It sounds like these have bi-partisan support, so push to ensure they happen!

    I don’t see a link

I'm on the east side of King County, reserved the Traveler Harvester. My first car was a '64 International Harvester Travelette (pictured) I bought from a fire department as a farm kid, and it looks like my first EV will be the Scout Traveler, might as well be fate.

Tesla will remain the only electric vehicle manufacturer allowed to sell directly to customers in Washington.

That’s because legislation that would have put firms like Rivian and Lucid on equal footing with the electric carmaker failed to advance out of a House committee on Friday, the deadline for non-fiscal bills to be voted out of policy committees.

House Bill 1721, ran out of juice in the House Consumer Protection & Business Committee where Rep. Amy Walen, D-Kirkland, the chair, said it lacked caucus support.
