Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Oh I like the new overhead console much better. It’s very subtle. Terra at Nats versus new concept.

This is 100% my favorite color! I love the interior as well! I can’t wait to see the new Traveler in a few weeks!
Welcome!

Hope you are enjoying your stay here.

Be sure to use the search function if you have any thoughts or questions because we have already covered a lot of great topics and be sure to follow @Jamie@ScoutMotors and @CP1@scoutmotors. They pop in and keep us on track when threads start derailing and have shared a lot of great information about the upcoming Scouts.

Okay I think this steering wheel color combo is my favorite so far. I love how it’s two tone like the others, but this one has the darker color on the outside. Also the Silo the center is the color of the outside of the steering wheel, the other two is the color of the interior.

I prefer the darker color on the outside. Less likely to get dirty.

This color combo on the steering wheel is unique and I hope they keep this for production.

So first pictures this new Silo Terra
Second picture Terra at Nats
Third picture Traveler at Nats

Really digging this color, the gold flakes compliments the green very well. Reminds me of Ceylon Green-posted below. Someone posted earlier that this would look great with bronze wheels, I agree. I imagine this will be a popular color, great job!

The paint matched A-Pillar and white roof look a lot better too

Okay I know part of this is to get our thoughts on the new features so here we go.

The color is pretty but it’s not one I would buy. I know I’m all pale yellow, but if it was between this color and the other two colors we have seen I would choose Tahitian Red.

I’m in love with 18s and the bigger tire. I’m 18s all the way. I would not do 37s, but 35s now are on my wish list. The aero wheel eh, I’m 50/50 on it. It’s fine. I still am hoping for some more wheel options.

Love that off road side step. I would totally get that on my Traveler. Check done.

I really like the bull bar. If I was going through brush I would get one. I’m not so I don’t think I will get one, but I really do like the way it looks.

I think the roof basket looks great on the Terra. In fact, I think the Terra looks better with the roof rack than the Traveler. I’m not planning on getting a rack on my Traveler.

Nice to see Scout Supply is potentially going to have accessories like cargo box, etc. it would be nice on purchase if you could select what you want from the Scout Supply store if you wanted to roll it into the loan at purchase.

Now interior!

Every interior color I look at I think how would that look with pale yellow. I like that interior, it’s gorgeous. Just trying to visualize how it would look with pale yellow. I love the pattern in the leather. I would, however, love to see actual plaid inserts somewhere.

Love love the headliner. Love the color and that it looks textured.

I prefer the chunkier knobs and the changes on the overhead console are a great refinement. Again, if this is the direction things are going, I’m going to love the production models.

I prefer this steering wheel color combo over the other two. I like the darker color on the outside and like the contrast between the center and the inside color.

Okay there’s my 2 cents for what it’s worth. I can’t wait to see the Traveler!

I like that they are already showing more "Scout Supply" accessories. When I looked at the list for the new look it lists Scout Supply gear bench. I didn't see anything in the photos that fits that description. I wonder what it is. Unless that refers to the front bench seat option.

I love the look! 37’s look amazing!

Two things, please make sure the vehicle does develop a lot of rattles. I’ve been driving a borrowed rivian and the door panels rattle badly and it makes the vehicle sound so cheap and gives the illusion that the ride is harsher than it is. Precious new vehicles I’ve had (2024 ford ranger and 2023 tesla model y both had seat belt retractor rattles. It always comes from plastic panels that aren’t bolted down so when in doubt, bolt it down!

Also, can you make sure there is a “resume“ function on the cruise control? I can’t tell from the steering wheel shot, but cars that don’t have that are very annoying.

I have never had a vehicle with cruise that did not have a resume. Yes. That would be very annoying.
