Scout Swag

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Saw these on the Bronco6G forum today. From Kohl’s. Guess the battle for swag supremacy will need to amp up.
I’d buy one if it were new and vintage Scout images.

Ah yes. The current offering of swag is, shall we agree, corporate. Soooo, corporate. But then, until the new designs are revealed, and with them some possible new graphics and logos there isn't much to go on except our past - the script Scout logo. And @Jamie@ScoutMotors, thinking ahead: remember that Scouts were colourful, and that our legacy community is a colourful bunch of folks. Black was a pretty rare colour for Scouts. So too, should be the swag.

just saw these on Bronco6G
I think we need one just like this but with Scout images, original date (reminding everyone who was truly first) and then maybe the new/modified catch phrase

“Scouts go first-Scouts come back”

And maybe a slightly more terracotta red or whatever color the new Scout logo will be.

Not even asking for free-would just be cool if SM got something out for us to start showing off"
"Scouts go first - Scouts come back" is an amazing slogan!!

I love it!

That definitely needs to be an official slogan and put on a bunch of merch. It's awesome.

Agreed! As a fellow Canadian I too am hoping SM keeps our cold climate in mind. I expect there to be a heat pump, preconditioning, battery heating, heated seats and steering wheel, etc. Launching without those basic cold climate features would be a dealbreaker for me. Winter tires I'm not worried about, a good set of Nokian Hakkas will be fine. But some thought needs to be put into thinks like door latches and switch-gear. They need to be made so they can be operated with mittens on. There should also be a "snow mode" for driving which distributes power evenly to both axels and limits regenerative braking to mitigate the possibility of slipping while slowing down.

Ideally I'd also like to see a "battery precondition" button somewhere on the dash so I can manually start the battery heat up process before I hit up a fast charger. My current car does that via the nav system but it's automated. I'd rather have the ability to turn it on and off myself.

These are all features that already exist in the industry and that my current Hyundai EV has so Scout needs to at least match these cold-weather capabilities. Scout could even do cute things like make a tray on the door for the windshield scraper-brush, or provide rubberized floor mats. Make sure there's a manual release for the charging port cover or better yet, just don't motorize it in the first place. Also hopefully the charge port is positioned so it doesn't get encrusted by snow and slush like the port on my current car does.

Also, as a bilingual Canadian I'm happy to translate the above for those who don't speak our other official language.

From TaconicBear:
"My heritage is Canadian. Your comment about the touque awakened a thought I have about how SM needs to keep our nordic climate in mind in the design process. For us, all-terrain means equal parts going to school in the snow, ice, or mud, and at -20 C. Spare a thought for us who live on either side of the 49th parallel. Find a way to make the vehicles work when there's ice on top of the snow and the roads are filled with icebergs. The tires need to work well on ice."

That's basically what was said in French converted to the King's English for ya! :P

Love the “manual precondition” button idea!

Another reason for charge port on passenger side as plowed snow on street typically only hits driver’s side

I had two random people this weekend ask me about my Scout hat followed with a bunch of Scout questions. They both knew a little bit about the legacy models. One of them had no idea about the new company. One of them knew quite a bit and hopes the price point happens. Because he wants a Terra for his business. Either way, the awareness is good.
