Scout Production Number Badge

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Good idea?

I know we are still a ways out from production, but I remember seeing somewhere that reservation holders and community members would have their order ‘prioritized’ when production starts. My shower thought this morning was that it would be a cool little feature for Scout to include a little badge somewhere in the cab with a custom ID card. Metal that’s punched or laser engraved with info like our reservation date, Scout production date, and production number. Maybe even some stats on how many posts, likes, comments, or great ideas we had on the community forum 😉
Almost like a little Easter egg for those who know where to look… Oh you were a reservation holder and Scout Community Veteran and you have Scout #127 etc.

Oh like the metal tag the Traveler concept has in the door frame.

I certainly think it would be cool. If all reservation holders that convert get something to signify it something that will forever be part of the vehicle would be awesome though. I also wouldn’t mind a small model version of the vehicle. Because I’m sure wants hot wheels or matchbox starts producing them. They will focus on traveler with harvester and whatever the most popular color is

A small scale model, like a 1/32 scale.

I almost like the idea of it being on the UX and stays with you while you own it but builds as a timeline if you sell it. Could also be set up to display electronic badges as accomplishments, like visiting a national park, doing the factory delivery experience or going to a national Scout event ?

If I'm not mistaken, Chevy did something similar with the first edition. Silverado EVS the armrest is a terrible place for a plaque of any sort, plastic or metal. If scout does something in the glove box where it's knowable to you, you can show it to people is a good place or ingrained into the dash where it doesn't seem out of place, but part of the overall design if that makes sense

Or if people want it to be hidden what about on the pullout tray.

Ram thought it would be a great idea to put a badge on the center arm rest. When the sun has been hitting this metal plaque for a while, it’s as hot as the surface of the sun, and feels great on the arm. As somebody who has been burned /branded by this brilliant idea, I beg Scout (and other manufacturers) to not do this!

I lived in Phoenix during high school, but moved in only 2 days before school started, from the Midwest.

Adjusting to the heat was interesting. And one of the first things we learned… was that the metal part of seat belts were the devil. You’d legitimately get burned if you accidentally touched one wrong.

(Also, this is a place where you can legitimately cook cookies in your car, and a place where I saw oven mitts used on the regular to touch the steering wheel. So heat was an issue there).

So please, no exposed badging, especially where it might get touched.

Also, glare is the worst.

Something on the dash outside of airbag deployment would be great

I always wondered why upper dash surfaces aren’t molded like ridges and divots so the sun doesn’t reflect onto eyes. Granted it would be a dust catcher but that would knock down 50% of the glare coming off the dash

Perhaps it's of my mind. The first thing I kind of think of would be ingrained so engraved into the wood if you get the wood – or stamped in the leather so it's not something that's going to be too eye-catching, but if you're looking for it, you'll see it. It could be something as simple as just reservation holder followed by your scouts production number

Oh that’s a great idea. Like those cutting board where they burn something into them.

Engraved in dash would be quite nice. I like that idea
