From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.
Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. If we at Scout (and I) do our jobs right, the information you get here in the forums should be the same as the information you get at the autoshow. I really do try and tell you all the latest information.

Is the cabana top really questionable?
I really wish I could have gone to LA. Not only for the Scouts but the weather!
And they did, Jamie, to their credit. I guess at an event like that, I was almost expecting to hear something new or presented differently. Other than the tangible things, I didn’t learn much. Although the potential removal of the cabana roof was a bit of a surprise (except being from the northeast, I really wasn’t).If we at Scout (and I) do our jobs right, the information you get here in the forums should be the same as the information you get at the autoshow. So the basic question I have is will the traveler have some form of open roof be it cabana or operable sunroof? The early disappointment that the roof wouldn’t come off is one thing but I am hoping there is a way to open a portion of the roof one way or another?
besides maybe?? a new color and a different car mat, anything NEW at the show??? didnt see anything posted...read a few comments, people are still confused about milage, electric/harvester,they have NOT done a good job explaining if soooooo many people are confused, many many I read on Fb....get it together Scout,waiting for 2027..
I dont think the confusion is on SM behalf, SM has been pretty clear on 350miles on pure electric + an additional 150 on range extender, totaling 500miles. The confusion occurs due to those who fail to do their due diligence before posting a video or message outside of SM.

Scout Motors estimates the Traveler™ SUV and Terra™ pickup will have up to 350 miles (563 km) of all-electric range or more than 500 miles (804 km) for gas-powered range extender-equipped versions. These are manufacturer's projected estimate based on internal targets. EPA estimates will be provided when available.

funny just off FB and man people are confused,I think more info on the Scout website would help, heck any info on the Scout website would help....Let's Go Scout!!!... any new news on pricing???
I agree. All the reps at the auto show were pretty clear about the basics like mileage. Everything we’ve learned here were confirmed there.
Stay off of FB and get your info here. There is nothing confusing about the info we get here. Jamie and his team are pretty good about relaying solid info.
The pricing that is known is on the very first page of the Scout Motors webpage.
