Holy crap - the same thing happens with my wife! When I go to tell my husband something he asks me “is this about the Scout?” Ha!

Good point. Though the center person in my pickup has to straddle shift levers and tray. So I thought the flat floor was perfect.I have a concern about the flat floor with no barrier between the driver space and the passenger space. No matter how hard one might try, keeping the passenger floor clear of items will not always be successful. It’s good to have the driver’s floor space physically separated from the passenger floor space so nothing can roll over and interfere with driving the vehicle. I hope this is one of those “15%” things that will change between the concepts and the production vehicles.
There’s definitely a compromise.Good point. Though the center person in my pickup has to straddle shift levers and tray. So I thought the flat floor was perfect.
Second thought, there needs to be a rise between the front seats as you pointed out. I am the worlds worse for throwing my empty water bottles on the passenger floor board.
My understanding is the Terra is a full size truck. The Traveler and Terra are both 79.9 wide. How was the size? For a reference point, how did it compare to either full size trucks, like and F-150, or midsize, like a Tacoma.
Yes. It’s nearly identical in size to the F-150, including the Lightning. My understanding is the Terra is a full size truck. The Traveler and Terra are both 79.9 wide.
Having seen it in person that comparison makes total sense.Yes. It’s nearly identical in size to the F-150, including the Lightning.
I'll never use that compass. I must have it. Non-negotiable.It has to be so hard as a designer. Trying to please everyone. I love the exterior lighting on the trucks. Especially the mask in the front it’s different. I definitely agree we need a grab bar for the driver. I am so glad we get real buttons and I love that darn compass. I would even pay extra for it. I have to have a compass.

So, my new EV has this. And it is something I've been curious about.
So far, no issues. But potentially, sure. What I would probably prefer, is a simple "ridge" that follows the edge of the driver seat forward to the console area. Not sure how high that ridge needs to be. But primarily it would be there to prevent smaller items from rolling up into that space.
That said, also, that open space (compared to our Tucson, which has a more traditional center console style setup) is also super useful. It usually holds my wifes purse, which is usually stuck by her feet in the passenger footwell, or shoved into the back between the kids (DANGER ZONE). And for stuff like that, its great. Frees up tons of space.
Welcome if I didn’t already say so. I think even a 2” riser in the center to separate the “wells” would prevent most things from rolling over and wedging under the brake pedal.Good point. They talked about the start button being tactile and having a cool start up sound. Hope it’s a vintage Scout engine sound
Always had a feeling that button had a purpose. They talked about the start button being tactile and having a cool start up sound. Hope it’s a vintage Scout engine sound![]()
Generator will not be in the frunk. It is below the rear side of vehicle and at this time-neither of the show vehicles actually have the generator or the final battery pack. Thanks everyone for the great pictures.
Did anyone see the Traveler with the frunk open? There is a great shot of the underside. I like it. But did not see a good spot for the generator. Was wondering if it’s in the frunk? I hope so.
Welcome to the community. Here is a picture of the Traveler frunk my husband took at Nats when the Traveler concept was Tahitian Red.Thanks everyone for the great pictures.
