Reservations from Canada

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

The patchy charging network in Canada would make the harvester the preferred choice for Canadians. But we may be looking at a longer waiting period considering the response I see on other reservation threads from our brothers and sisters south of the border.

Canadians, which model have you reserved and what are your delivery date expectations?

(More worried about delivery than pricing at this point 🙂)

I am trying to reserve the SUV hybrid from Montreal, but the website is not letting me.

Would anybody have a solution?
Thanks in advance.
This happened to me initially when I reached the payments page but i just opened the page in a different browser and worked fine.

It doesn't look like they're going to have any service centers open in Canada until year two and even then it will only be two locations. 7 locations by 2032.

L3 charging in Canada could be much improved by launch date. The great thing is that Scout will allow you to choose whatever you want at order time regardless what your reserved. There may be 3 SC's initially in Canada but whether they are at launch or not is unknown.

Canadians appear to be selecting the harvester option at an even greater uptake than the USA and I would guess likely very related to our existing charging network.

Even Rivian hasn't invested in charging for Canada. In 2021, they said they would have over 3,500 L3 chargers in the USA and Canada. I guess NACS adoption changed those plans.

We are not going to see any federal tax incentive on these vehicles so hopefully some charging credits but it will all depend on the demand. People say 2 years will fly by but I think we will see a lot more range extender options by other manufacturers. Exciting times no matter what.

Harvester on order here - I was in the Instagram chat during the unveiling last Nov, even made a comment about hoping for a 'surprise hybrid model'. imagine my surprise.

I paid my $100 to get a foot in the door, but haven't really been following along with the roll out. is there a specifics for the Canadian go to market strategy ? (was in Novi last week for work and dropped by the HQ to see if anyone was around to talk... no luck.)

I already own a good EV (Hyundai Ioniq 5) and do a lot of road trips with it since its our only car. I've ordered the EV Traveler. Charging in Ontario is fine and Quebec is even better! Sure charging infrastructure and can always be improved, and it will. I have no trouble going wherever I want in the country with an EV and have no desire to deal with all the hassles that gas engines bring. So I'm getting the pure EV version. I expect it to arrive sometime in 2028 and by then the charging networks will be even better.

Most of my charging is done at home so the whole charging network thing really isn't as big a deal as people seem to make it out to be.
