Option for no tire on back.

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
The Chysler Pacifica does not come standard with a spare tire. I couldn't wrap my head around that when we bought ours in 2019, so we ordered ours with a "spare tire kit". It deletes the built in vacuum in the side panel of the cargo area and adds a deflated spare donut and air compressor.
The first time I discovered my new Lincoln didn't have a spare was when I went to place all the things I normally would pack around the spare tire well. When I lifted the mat I found this very useful selection of cubbies and in the very middle an air compressor with a fix-a-flat type replaceable canister when needed. Didn't really miss the mini donut spare.

I just love the way it looks and that one time we were moving cross country. Getting ready to drive 1995 miles from California to Illinois and I had a flat tire on my Jeep. Like 4 hours before we were supposed to get on the road. Ended up being a nail but I did not have time to figure that out. I mean my house was empty. The moving van had already left before us and I needed to get to Illinois to sign the papers on the new house. We threw the spare on and I drove the whole way praying we didn’t need another spare because my spare was flat. 😹. I want my full size spare.

This is why I am campaigning for a removable tire carrier, trips just like that. I can get the Traveler in the garage with a tire carrier on. You just need to go through some gymnastic type move to get into the garage from the house. Removing the carrier gives me another 17".

Be like the other 45% who just park in their driveways because their garages are filled with “stuff” or used as additional living space. Then your space problem is solved 😀

Or if you have a basement you throw all the stuff in the basement. My garage is pretty empty and we can get 3 cars in just fine. But don’t go in the storage part of the basement.
