This video just makes me even more excited for what’s ahead in 2026!
And next week we will be able to say production starts next year!!! OMG!!So excited to get another year closer!
Yes we can. But, 18 months most likely if you want to make it have a semi official timing. And next week we will be able to say production starts next year!!! OMG!!
Details details. It’s still going to be next year, regardless of beginning model or end.Yes we can. But, 18 months most likely if you want to make it have a semi official timing.
**Car production likes to start on the half year or on the year. So it could be January of 2027 or mid-year/summer 2027. Mainly because they don’t want to start at the end of the year when they will then have to close for the holidays. And it gives them the opportunity to make it have the 2028 model year since Car Model years tend to change in August/September.
Like cars went from 2025s to 2026 in Late-Summer/Early-Fall.
I've been thinking about that production year thing lately. I bought my 79 Scout in October, but I don't recall the year. I don't particularly want to wait too long and I don't know when my reservation will convert to purchase but wouldn't it be cool if I had 2 Scouts exactly 50 years apart?Yes we can. But, 18 months most likely if you want to make it have a semi official timing.

True but as a new model they could technically get away with itYes we can. But, 18 months most likely if you want to make it have a semi official timing.

Still saying much earlier. Based on Progress the factory will be ready to start rolling in fall to winter of 2026. Then they’ll start zero cars using staff to get production trained and up to speed as well as get finished vehicles on the road for testing. Thats 9-10 months and still leaves 4th quarter 2027 to start retail production. And I still believe they’ll want a mix of both out on the street for first buyer impressions. I think they’ll will have several 1,000 out to customers by end of 2027.Honestly I think 'production start late-2027' really means the completed factory is fully open for the annual employee holiday party. I don't expect any meaningful numbers to roll out until early 2028 as MY28.
And maybe just EREV to start as rumored/speculated, perhaps followed by BEV in late-2028 for MY29 depending on election results.
Sounds good to me. Where do I sign up.Still saying much earlier. Based on Progress the factory will be ready to start rolling in fall to winter of 2026. My WAG is that they will start producing both models in proportion to the mix of the actual orders.Honestly I think 'production start late-2027' really means the completed factory is fully open for the annual employee holiday party. I agree. They need to get both on the road to “market” them. And there are a lot of BEV buyers that may not be ready now and will start shopping in next year. I know lots of people who don’t look at cars until they need to shop for one. That said getting BEVs out initially is just as important to increase the BEV buyer’s awarenessMy WAG is that they will start producing both models in proportion to the mix of the actual orders.

Forgive me but I don’t understand what the election has to do with anything. If they have the BEV ready to go why would they delay it and making money to wait for an election. Scott has stated in many interviews that they priced them independent of any government incentives.Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see BEV production at launch Q4 2027. But already delayed once from 2026 production start, such things just happen. And I don't see BEV production starting until after 2028 election, so MY29.
Agree here. BEV buyers are going to buy BEV’s. Hesitant buyers used the $7500 tax credit to try BEV’s. No reason not to be selling both and promoting the BEV. And I’m still not convinced the EREV will be fully ready to go as early as the BEV so use the BEV to get things rolling and perfect the EREV’sForgive me but I don’t understand what the election has to do with anything. Exactly my thoughts if 20% of buyers have reservations for battery electric vehicles why would you not sell 20% of your interested market a vehicle and make that money?Forgive me but I don’t understand what the election has to do with anything.
