Luxury EV

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Like everything about Scout Traveller so far, but concept and actual production are 2 different things. Have owned a Tesla and have driven Rivian as well. My biggest issue with current EVs is poor build quality. Parts creaking, cheap plastic, awful road noise to name a few. Air suspension, matrix headlights, top notch sound system, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated/massaging seats should be offered in today’s market to compete with German and Korean cars. I feel Scout should offer a luxury trim version where these issues are taken care off. This can be as add ons or packaged as a trim.

If you are already providing range and 3 rows, just make it luxurious and comfortable enough for families to enjoy it. Make it a true American luxury EV SUV.

Take a look at the Ford Raptor steering wheel, that’s cluttered!

I like the simple idea of Scout with a mix of touch screen and physical hard buttons. I’d gladly give up my 12” touch screen for a 10” with physical buttons for heated seats and steering wheel.

What's with all those steering wheel buttons. Holy S....

I did not want to start yet another new thread, so this is probably the most appropriate one to post this. I will likely check most of the luxury option boxes. I do not offroad, but I appreciate robust suspension and build quality. I loved the way my Scout II looked, but I hated the way it rode. We really have not seen a street focused version of the Scout Traveler yet. But, let's face it, quite a few Scouts will mostly be on pavement and I am not saying that is a bad thing. So, I took a swing at how the street version may look. I prompted it with a modern take on the Scout II's polycast turbine wheels sized up to 20", I added Michelin Defender LTX Platinum tires and Audi Sonoma Green Metallic paint. I am liking the way this is looking.

First dark green render I’ve seen that I like. Which is weird since stance and lack of carrier are the only real differences

This is a variation on the interior based on real pictures I took at reveal. I prompted AI to change the colors of the Traveler's Clay interior to gray/blue Canyon scheme shown in the Terra. I think this would look fantastic with the the Cosmos blue exterior. That is if you want the console like I do. View attachment 13293
Looks good. Knowing we both saw it in person I’d almost rather see the colors inverted with the super pale gray being primary and the slate blue gray being the accents but this or the clay interior would look good with that cosmos blue

Both things I do not want, but I get it.
So you are in the no tire carrier camp. I am firmly in tire carrier camp. I HAVE to have one. I am unsure if I want then roof rails or not. I don’t want a rack. Right now if I were to have to place an order I would not get them. I hope the things that go on the roof are not in any package and you can pick rack, rails or none.

Luxury EV? Sounds like you want the Audi version. Scout's gotta keep their options a bit more limited to keep from stepping on the toes of the Four Rings.
