Luxury EV

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Like everything about Scout Traveller so far, but concept and actual production are 2 different things. Have owned a Tesla and have driven Rivian as well. My biggest issue with current EVs is poor build quality. Parts creaking, cheap plastic, awful road noise to name a few. Air suspension, matrix headlights, top notch sound system, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated/massaging seats should be offered in today’s market to compete with German and Korean cars. I feel Scout should offer a luxury trim version where these issues are taken care off. This can be as add ons or packaged as a trim.

If you are already providing range and 3 rows, just make it luxurious and comfortable enough for families to enjoy it. Make it a true American luxury EV SUV.

Welcome to the forum. There’s been a lot of debate on how/what luxury should be in the Scouts since the originals were not luxury. Im in between as “very nicely loaded” but don’t need full luxury as I want to stay at or around $85K And just to clarify-these two vehicles will not have a third row. Discussions have pointed to the third vehicle they produce will be a 3-row suv and likely called the Travelall. Enjoy the forum.

I guess I want some tech, mostly because I equate all EV's with tech. But I am more concerned with quality than luxury. With VW groups backing, I am kind of expecting quality at all price points.
Money does not alway equate to quality. It is the manufacture that guarantees quality. I firmly believe Scout will build a quality vehicle fit for the masses.

With a $60k starting price I expect a quality product for sure.
Yeah-that’s the big question-what is the $60K knowing the battery is up there as far of adding cost. Realistically this $60K starting is more like $52k of equivalent ICE so that is Honda/Toyota level. That said, quality should be pretty solid

I hope none of the trims has those issues but I will say Tesla has one of the best sound systems I've heard.

Comparing photos from the Scout website to a stock TRX picture, I’m not sure how the interior on the Scout doesn’t look luxurious? I’m pretty darn comfortable in my truck, and I’d say Scout is on par with my TRX, or possibly better in certain aspects.

From what we’ve seen of Scout, I would also say that the colors go along way to making it feel more luxurious, It’s simple, clean and fairly inviting. I’ve sat in a few high-end luxury trucks at car dealerships before and they’re usually very nice just very dark and uninviting to the eye.

To me the Scout looks very Luxurious. Luxurious doe's not make it any less capable! This coming from someone who has always driven Lincolns.

As a designer, not making me more qualified to comment but having an eye for details, forms and shapes I will say the Scout is more refined in every manner. If your dash wasn’t all black it might change things a bit but the lines are more eloquent in the scout. It floats between masculine and feminine. But everyone has different tastes. I for one, and likely because I’ve seen (3) interiors this far, can say it is one of the most refined interiors I’ve seen in a vehicle that isn’t bespoke

I like the darker colors because I feel like they show less dirt and wear, especially on seats. However, I could do without piano black trip and everything run through a touchscreen.

Yeah-piano black looks good the day you buy it and then never again😀. No issues with the dark-I’ve had too many personally but my intent was you lose detail and variations with a very dark dash. Like I had to zoom in to see you have (synthetic presumably) leather dash because I didn’t see the stitching at first glance. Same issue with my wife’s Pilot with all black interior.

The Supra has piano black A pillars. We have PPF on them. That car doesn’t get driven as much so it’s not as big a deal but my Scout is going to go everywhere. It needs to hold up to the elements and heavy use.
