Is there a place in community.scoutmotors.com for sharing and discussing legacy IH Scout trivia and memorabilia? Particularly stuff from between 1980 and 2020ish?
The thing that prompted me to ask was I was remembering the first time that I remember seeing a Scout II, it was in the short film French Fries to Go. I didn't know it was a Scout at the time. It was about a guy, Charris Ford, who converted a Scout II to run on biodiesel. I think he was in Telluride, which would track.
Some info on the film can be found here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1292391/
And the film itself can be streamed (for a surprisingly large fee) at https://greenplanetfilms.org/produc...1&_sid=1c4356ef0&_ss=r&variant=34909350264989
I believe I saw it at the traveling Banff film festival, and the ticket prices were less than the home video streaming fee. Although I just checked and 2026 Banff Film Festival prices in my town were also a lot more than I remember.
Anyway, this is more of a question than a suggestion, although I guess if the answer turns out to be no, then my suggestion is to create a space in the forum. I have other stuff I plan to scan in the next week or so, like vintage advertising material that came with my '73 when I purchased it in '05.
