Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Good morning peeps! Jamie mentioned in a recent post that the concepts are in for another reimagining and the Traveler is getting a sister!

I thought it might be fun for us to throw out our ideas of what we would like to see next!

I’ll let you Terra people speak to what you would like to see on her. I wouldn’t want to speak to something I don’t have a vested interest in.

Now for the Traveler. Just go with me here for a minute.

I call the OG Traveler concept “Travvy” and that makes me think of Travis Kelce. Taylors newest album is more upbeat because she is marrying that man. So I think the OG Traveler should be in The Life of a Showgirl Era. Over the top. Bright and loud!! Throw 37s on her and chase lights and bright wheels, bronze perhaps. A vivid color. A purple or Indigo or Violet. Winch, bullbar. The whole 9 yards so to speak. I would expect the roof to stay cabana. That would be too difficult to change. And interiors they have been knocking out of the park, but I would love to see a grey interior in the Traveler.

Now for the new Traveler. It’s been a weekend of Taylor documentary episodes and the last Eras Tour Concert. So I’m calling the Travelers sister Taylor and we are going Reputation era. That album the graphics are a black snake with red accents. She walks out to beats that are boom boom boom. It makes me think of an all black Traveler 18” all black rims on a 33” street tire. No tire carrier. Black bumpers and skid plates and tow hooks. Solid roof. All black interior with some red accents. Not red seats but maybe red on the inside of the steering wheel and red stitching. A reaper theme if you will. And when she rolls down the street in your head you will hear that loud boom boom boom beat.

Okay what do you all think? What do you want to see?

Gee, I don't know how we are going to follow that. 🤣

I was just hoping for a more street focused Traveler, with maybe new interior and exterior color. I already have locked down the exterior color and wheels I like, at the moment.

It would be cool to see the Terra in more of a street spec, with aero wheels, a tonneau cover on the bed, maybe with adventure rails over the top, in a silver/blue-white color (something icy)
Is Pacific Mist icy enough for you, or are you looking for something icier?

Would love to see a really retro look on the other Traveler. Maybe something like the Spirit of ’76 Scout. Especially as we head into 2026, celebrating 250 years. @Jamie@ScoutMotors I will volunteer and leave my Job to take a Scout around the country for y’all! I talked to my boss and he’s cool about it lol 😂.

Same for me. Maybe one set up with ski gear but that’s all aftermarket so probably not worthy. But a serious Snow Cat? Otherwise I think I’d prefer to leave the concepts up to the design team.

I agree. And plus in a few months it’s the big 250th

I just hope everyone gets what they want.
It’s pretty hard to imagine being that disappointed if you’re coming into the new scouts with an open mind and aren’t overly fussed by modern hardware (screens instead of dials). And for me the Terra’s last outing in silo green was almost perfect. Could take or leave the push bar, and would prefer a well sealed tonneau cover, I wasn’t big on the color I prefer more vibrant styles, but silo green has grown on me to the point I could see myself choosing it if it makes it to the production stage

I'd really like to see what they expect the base model to look like so that people can stop speculating. I doubt that helps drum up much excitement for the brand though.

We've seen offroad styling on both concepts. It would be a good balance to show a more street focused version. Maybe what they anticipate the "max range" version to look like?

And I'm not completely sold on the tire carrier, so seeing a Traveler without it would be nice.

Scout's design team is nailing my preferred aesthetic and color palette as-is, so I can't ask for more than I've already seen. I'm with @SrfnFly227 though and would love to see a more utilitarian version like a work truck. It's almost winter, so paint that thing PBY and mount a faded yellow plow on the front to match. Solid roof, bench seat, rubber floor, basic steel wheels with chrome hubcaps (and matching PBY accents). 33" highway/all season tires with tire chains. Throw some nice plow lights on the front and rear.

Would be interesting to see it as a utility service vehicle
