Good to hear there are others who don’t plan to offroadI think I’m probably in the minority but I’m not looking to off-road in the Traveler. I want the big boxy SUV look with great tech in something that doesn’t look so 22nd century for no reason.
I’ve driven BEVs for 10+ years and have slowly realized I just want something electric that looks normal. Loved my BMW i4 for that reason but need something bigger.
So yeah give it to me in that preproduction Orange color. I’ll even take the 35” wheels just because they look tough. Don’t even necessarily need the spare on the back. A panoramic glass roof would be nice.
You're hired!Playing around with colors again tonight. Non-metallic Teal exterior, off white roof, lighter brown bolsters and main seat and colored fabric inserts. Gunmetal gray version of rims on the green traveler OR maybe a smoked bronze finish
After daily driving a TRX along with plenty of 500 mile days on the interstate, most vehicles will be quieter to me.I guess it’s a matter of preference. I didn’t like the volume or the way the KO3s sounded on my Tacoma.
I’m right there with you. I think tI think I’m probably in the minority but I’m not looking to off-road in the Traveler. I want the big boxy SUV look with great tech in something that doesn’t look so 22nd century for no reason.

So basically basic luxury with an off-road appearance package.

I want everything that's in the static Traveler model that has been shown and reviewed extensively (the copper one), but I don't necessarily want everything that is on it. I don't need anything specific for offroading; I live in the city and will always live in the city. Do I want it to look like it would survive the storm from Fury Road? Yes absolutely. But I don't need a massive roof rack, trailer/tow hooks, etc.Good to hear there are others who don’t plan to offroad
Welcome to the community. I think there are more of us than we know out there who don’t off-road but still want the off-road look and some of the capabilities. I am in the same boat but do want 35s and steel bumpers but don’t need a winch. Things like that.I read this in another thread, and then echoed again here, and was relieved to find out I'm not alone in this:

Speaking of, has anyone speculated pricing of the prototype trim? Are we thinking near $100k?
I’ve been assuming the prototype will be $85-ish range but maybe less if we are lucky. And if you get the cabana top you definitely want to avoid that sand stormI read this in another thread, and then echoed again here, and was relieved to find out I'm not alone in this:

I’m hoping since I want the off-road look but don’t need heavy duty off-road capability that I can sneak in under $75. It’s going to all depend on how many options I add. I’m hoping things like the roof options, bumper options don’t have to be in the most expensive package and things like that are a la carte.I’ve been assuming the prototype will be $85-ish range but maybe less if we are lucky. I’m assuming that with harvester, bench seat, and offroad package I’ll be sitting at 75k before incentives.I’m hoping since I want the off-road look but don’t need heavy duty off-road capability that I can sneak in under $75. That’s why I am hoping for two off-road packages. One for those who will use it and an appearance package so to speak.I’m assuming that with harvester, bench seat, and offroad package I’ll be sitting at 75k before incentives.
I really hope it’s under 70 and that the tax credits get me in the 50s, but that seems…unlikely. I figure if air suspension is mandatory with offroad package I won’t see less than 75 no matter what.
Tax credits will come down to the 2026 Mid Terms.I’m assuming that with harvester, bench seat, and offroad package I’ll be sitting at 75k before incentives.

When you are talking about a mild offroad package, would that look like the current Traveler concept with the 35"s and tire carrier, or something milder than that? That’s why I am hoping for two off-road packages. One for those who will use it and an appearance package so to speak.
Actually closer to the green one they just showed. I just dont need the winch and don’t want the roof rack. When you are talking about a mild offroad package, would that look like the current Traveler concept with the 35"s and tire carrier, or something milder than that?
Just speculating here but I think you are going to get what you want.Actually closer to the green one they just showed. I just dont need the winch and don’t want the roof rack.
I have a Wrangler with 33s. Have always wanted 35s just never did it. Love my tire carrier. That was part of my problem finding a vehicle I like is so few have tire carriers. Love my steel bumpers. Don’t have to worry about things dinging my bumpers. Love the way brush guards look. I added A pillar lights to my Wrangler. Love those. I want the outside to have that off-road look. I want to have confidence in my Traveler and not have to worry about potholes or the crap weather and snow we get in Illinois. But I’m not going to be rock crawling.
Here’s my Wrangler and I love her but by the time the Scout is here she will be 15 so it will finally be time to move onto something new.

I’m really hoping so. I also want skid plates and then a slider/step. More of a slider look than a truck step. I really like the ones on my Wrangler. It’s two tubes that are welded together.Just speculating here but I think you are going to get what you want.
Winches are typically a separate item in addition to off road packages (You should see how much they charge for the winch on the F-250
)
Roof racks are also typically a separate item.
Offroad packages are typically skid plates, lift, larger tires, wheels, a rear locker, and some extra drive modes for offroading.
I highly doubt they will force you to buy the winch and rack too.
The steel bumper may be a separate add on though.
That should work out for you as well. Most manufacturers let you choose your step/rocker protection separately.I’m really hoping so. I also want skid plates and then a slider/step.
