Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Not being mean, but thats the lamest supra ever. Wheres the liberty walk widebody? Titanium Exhaust? HRE rims? Window Tint? Wrap? Seems the jeep gets more love. SAD.
She absolutely has window tint. She also has a 10 year new car warranty that was way less expensive since she’s a “Toyota”. We aren’t doing anything that could void that warranty. Toyota can fix her for the $100 deductible for 10 years if anything goes wrong. Also she’s only 1 of 4952 that year. In 25 years she will be stock. You know how hard it is to find a stock vintage Supra. And that will be even harder for the Mark V when there’s less than 5,000 for that year and they only made about 25,000 of the Mark V total. She’s gorgeous to us!

Vehicles 80" and more in width are required to have additional lighting (3 amber lights in the front, three red lights in the back). Most manufacturers try and stay under that number, which is probably why Scouts will be 79.9 inches.
Seems to be the logical reason. And an extra inch doesn’t add value just more lights to replace

Actually I wish I could park where the Supra is. I could move those trash cans and have about 3 more feet because that part of the garage bumps out.

The only issue is that door is 93 inches wide and I mean I would have to be straight on. Now I did used to park the Jeep there but the mirrors on the jeep only stick out as far as the tires on the Jeep do.

I always tell everyone. The mirrors on the Jeep are like whiskers on a cat. If they fit the Jeep fits. 😹
On the Lightning, I can close the mirrors while driving. So if I needed to, I could squeeze in where the mirrors don’t fit. Hopefully the Traveler will have that option too.

That’s what I’m hoping. Then I would have plenty of room on the drivers side and when taking passengers I just back out.

SM - we need those mirrors to be able to fold while driving to get into tight spaces. Please and thank you.

I wouldn't have guessed a 392 in the Willy's edition-Price point should be interesting to see.
I was at the dealership getting the tail light fixed. Ended up just being a bulb. Easy peasy.

Anyway, there was a 392 MOAB in the showroom. $83,000. They must have lowered the price. I thought those used to be right around $100,000.

I know I’m really lucky. I just went and measured and I have about 6 feet on the passenger side.

Im golden on that side, see.

You've got space for days!.

I believe I have the smallest 3 car garage in existence.

I've got about 8inches from the edge of the garage door, to the drywall in the garage, on each side, and like barely 10ft ceilings. Still better than a small 2 car, but a 2 car garage with 2-4ft on the sides, and taller ceilings/more depth would potentially be more useable.

My jeep is currently in the garage, but I really need to sell it, to get the TUcson back inside the garage. The riding lawnmower (zero turn, I've got 1 acre of land with ~3/4acre of grass) and all the bikes/stuff is the hard part. So it does feel a bit like the "number of vehicles you can fit in your garage easily, is the number of garage bays - 1".
