Don’t be shy, say hi!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I’m starting this thread for people, like me, who typically aren’t on social media. This is literally the first and only social media/forum I have ever posted on. So if you fall into that category or just haven’t taken the plunge to post on this forum yet, feel free to say hi. The more the merrier. I have found that everyone here is very nice and helpful and it’s fun and I have learned a lot.

And hey Scout Motors is looking for input from us. When has a car manufacturer ever done something like this before. Let’s take advantage of it.

So hi all. Jump in, the waters fine!

Hi! I’m Scoutsie! I’m not a very prolific poster lately because I don’t have all that much to add. 🤷‍♀️ I’m not very knowledgeable about cars (although twice in the last week, I was able to answer car questions that nobody else could solely because of the time I have spent on this forum in the past year-plus… one was about paint and one was about who owned Bugatti and apparently I could have won bar trivia for some friends) and I don’t want a Scout because I have big big big plans to do serious-business truck stufffffffff and in fact I am honestly kind of tempted to see if I can find, like, some dead stock 1990s decorator fabric and upholster my own ugly chintzy floral brocade car seats and make a truly gross Laura Ashley-inspired sport utility vehicle, or maybe just draw it. I didn’t get accepted to art school and maybe that’s why I’ve been having a midlife crisis for most of my forties. Whatever: I’m letting said crisis drive my creative decisions and so far it’s been going fine. Stay cool! 😎

Hi everyone, I just put a deposit on a Traveler (500 EST). I am really into EV's and have owned several cars, trucks but this will be my first SUV. I am excited to be a part of this group. Can't wait to take delivery :) 😆
Congratulations on your reservation.

Scout. “People. Connections. Community. Authenticity." Welcome to the Scout community. Enjoy the ride. 🛻 🚙
Remember the built in search on the forums is a great place to start getting answers to your many questions. 😀

Welcome aboard and thanks for posting. There’s 2-1/2 years of great content here so dig in and enjoy! If you have questions don’t hesitate to ask. Generally somebody here will have an answer or at least a background story 😀

I am definitely shy, but still followed instructions and said hi! :)
I don’t do the social media thing either. I really don’t fit in here and mostly lurk, but these vehicles spark my interest and I’d love to have one someday, so here I am. (y)
There’s a place for everyone here. SM has said this is a 50 state car that will be built on community. There’s no reason for anyone to feel like they don’t fit in. Glad you are here and don’t hesitate to post your thoughts. it’s going to make the wait a heck of a lot more bearable if we are in this together!

Thank you! Much appreciated. :)
I just have a different mindset - I love and appreciate nearly all vehicles (I’ll admit I’d still give the Pontiac Aztek designers the corporate eyebrow though) big and small for what they are. I have always loved the old Scouts (and gen 1 Broncos for that matter) despite never having any personal interaction with them. I’m not hardcore into EVs, I don’t hate gasoline or diesel vehicles or hybrid vehicles, I just love all vehicles. I love the outdoors, and I absolutely get my feet and tires in the dirt and rocks every chance I get. From what I gather, I just don’t jive with at least 95% of the folks here. It’s all good though, we’re all different. It might be pretty boring if we all had the exact same interests and opinions.

Lola judges all Lurkers that don’t introduce themselves.

Short attention spans.......... Squirrel
It really do be like that.

She’s is too light to actually press the buttons but she will lay on my phone or the remote until I provide the ransom of scritches or pats on the butt. Sometimes I have to bust out the laser and make her chase that for a while to get the remote back 😆

We also have a chungus named Gerald that is basically a dog. He prefers to stay outside during the day and brings us rabbits and moles he catches. He also likes going for walks with us around the neighborhood (without a leash) and is extremely patient with the kids. The 3 year old cut off his whiskers and nicked his ear with scissors recently and he just sat there and let it happen 😑

I wasn’t a cat person but Gerald showed up one day and never left. Lola was also a stray.

Both are snugglers and never poop or pee inside.

Best cats ever.
