It is a race between the Traveler I reserved and the availability of the 26 RAV4 PHEV for me. RAV4s were impossible to get in NM and I refused to pay $4-8k more for one outside the state in 2022-23. I'm hoping for a Scout, but we'll see

Seems like two very different vehicles to cross shop ?
I don’t Know if we heard that number. Anyone? I think in January I read 50,000 and then they had that presentation in SC a little bit ago and they said 75,000. Same boat and those reservation numbers don’t tell us anything!
Also conversions to actual orders may be much different. Will depend on final specs, trims, and prices also if people stick with it. Many factors so hard to tell.
I want them to convert as many as possible, but also want to get mine sooner rather than later. Honestly right now I’ll be super excited when I can see other colors.
I agree, my plan is to get a few things paid off first and put as much down as possible. I’m excited to see others get theirs first especially the first reservation holders.
Oh same. Everytime my husband say hey do you want to go the mall, buy a new bag, let’s get this that or the other I just say, Scout! I’m looking at this as an opportunity to save, save, save.
I can’t wait to see those first ones get driven away from the factory. I hope they have a big even and post videos and pictures. And then I think we need pictures of each Scout and their owners. Like the shelter posts pictures when you adopt a dog.
Fingers crossed. Hoping deliveries run smoothly as well right out of the gate. And if there are limitations be very transparent right up front with expected quantities and/or potential delays. Much easier to stomach if you know before you order
Not necessarily. They both do what I would like. The 2026 RAV4 PHEV is rumored to be able to get more than 60 miles in EV. The Scout, hopefully at least double that. The Scout will have greater towing ability but at present I only need to tow 2,500 lbs. Overall, I like the Scout much more but will I be willing to wait as much as two additional years? I'm 73 so.....
I'm fine with 2028 honestly. More time to figure out our lives and wtf is happening with this economy.
Yes… definitely don’t want to be strapped. I traded in my bronco and sold my motorcycle to pay down card debt. Got a used Tesla and charger install, went from $952/mo payment and $400/mo gas to half payment and a $48 electric bill increase. Plan to pay off all cc and medical debt along with our Sorento, keep the Tesla because EV is awesome and trade the sorento towards the scout to just have one car payment.
Scout info is a goal to keep working on this plan. Very excited and looking forward to it one day.
