Chicago Auto Show 2026

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Will there a scout motor booth or show at the Chicago auto show 2026?
Central Illinois resident here. Doesn’t look like it. Jamie posted the other day they were looking at different events, not auto shows.

Now when I saw the Traveler in Chicago last month Jamie did let me know they are planning on coming back to Chicago and will do it right. So looks like we will get a showing at some point, just not sure when or where for that matter.

Best thing to do is follow @Jamie@ScoutMotors if you aren’t already as sometimes events come up last minute. The Chicago event I went to was only announced two days prior to the event.

gotta say pretty lame not being at the show???? No news as of late as well????
I kinda agree and also disagree. Scout wants to spread the word to the public and not just car people. Those of us here will travel to likely any event if close and gives us opportunity to see it. General public is different. If you are going to a large show you are generally a car enthusiast anyway and likely know it exists but like the rodeo in Texas was brilliant. 98% of people there are truck or suv owners so they gain new followers. They don’t get much other that unruly kids and adults mad they can’t climb over it so I don’t think it’s a bad call. But they do need to get it out more for sure

Plus I think part of the issue is they don’t have models you can sit in yet. They are behind a velvet rope so to speak. Like they really don’t want you even touching them. Car show peeps expect to sit in them and touch everything and that just can’t happen right now.

I’m waiting to see what fun Chicago event they will have for us. Jamie said they would be back and would be doing it up right. I can’t wait!

We will have to wait and see what "different events for 2026" means.

These are multimillion dollar hand built concept vehicles with lots of 3D printed parts and the panels are painted carbon fiber. The number I have heard is more than $3 million each. In the Jay Leno video Scott told Jay these were probably the most expensive vehicles he will ever sit in.

So yes, these concepts are treated with extra care and travel with their own security.

Now when they get to the point that they are production vehicles that cost what they will cost when we purchase them, sure have everyone sit in them like you would expect at an auto show. Right now it’s understandable why the concepts would be behind a velvet rope.

100% on point. We were told at reveal they ship them in refrigerated truck so they don’t overheat, sag, melt, come unglued, etc. I wouldn’t let anyone touch my Ferrari (like I actually could afford one) and certainly not the Scout. I literally had to beg in NYC to sit and only because Jamie was there and I stopped during a lull I got to sit in it for like one minute. And I treated it like a newborn baby.
For now it’s a look only and not touch. Just the way it has to be, it’s not an excuse

Yep. I think the only reason they said yes when I asked to sitting in the frunk is I first said all of the above and expressed that I understood what it was I was asking to sit in. I carefully got up in the frunk. My husband took 3 pictures and I got right back down and that was it. Newborn baby is exactly right.
