Backseat Legroom SUV

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I’m hoping for one thing from Scout that very few other manufacturers do…an adjustable second row. I currently have the Lexus GX 550 and at 6’4 my back seat passengers have no legroom. Why can’t someone add a way to move back the back seat especially when there is no baggage in the rear compartment. I end up having to slide my seat way forward so my daughter or her friends have enough legroom to even get in the car. I really don’t want to buy another massive SUV. Scout please help me out.

I would be a bit surprised if the Scout has poor legroom. If not for anything but the fact that its wheelbase is roughly Tahoe size (.5" smaller) and it has the "EV Layout/Packaging"

My 2024 Lincoln has adjustable rear seating both the seats and the seat backs. The seat back adjustments are great. However, the seat adjustments only do a good job of giving you more luggage space, moving forward not legroom, moving back. This is because of the difference in floor heights between seating area and rear deck.

I just purchased a new 2024 VW Tiguan (this past weekend, to get out of my 2024 Tesla MY) for my daily until I get my Scout. The second row in the Tiguan can recline and slide forward and back. It is pretty spacious.

VW Bus EV does this really well. Not that you want a Bus. Or 3 rows. However, Scout should be able to tap that VW Group know how to incorporate it.

Seeing it in person it looked to have plenty of leg room but as I’m not 6’-4” I don’t truly know how much room you’ll require

Wasn't it mention that its cabin is close to the size of a F-150 or was that front/cockpit only?
98% identical dimensions-or something pretty close. I can’t imagine it having legroom issues but I’m 5’-11” so that 5” is a huge difference in a vehicle
