Hi! That one article is the first thing we have seen showing 300. It could just be a typo. I checked out the reservation page and it’s still showing 350.January 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update shows the Traveler at 300 miles range. I thought it was 350? Has the battery that is going to be used already settled on? I see CATL and LG Chem are starting mass prod on Sodium Ion batteries. This would be a huge if Scout could use these.
Everyone stand down. Just a typo. Carry on.
I was thinking that last night. It might cause confusion.Maybe this thread can be deleted now that the article was updated. Otherwise new members will keep getting wound up
Maybe that’s just another typo. The reservation page says 350 and when we brought it to their attention they fixed tha January article to 350.300 miles has been mentioned on social media. Here's a recent post.
Given that it says “more than” and the general nature of social media accounts for companies this just sounds like someone responding in more of their own words. Obviously 350 itself is an estimate, and not currently proven and probably won’t be for a while still, so I don’t see any reason to take 300 all to seriously.300 miles has been mentioned on social media. I'm not taking it seriously. More than 300 is technically accurate. Everything is an estimate at this point. I was just letting everyone know that the "300 mile thing" isn't a one-time occurrence.Given that it says “more than” and the general nature of social media accounts for companies this just sounds like someone responding in more of their own words. Of course, I just wanted to say something along those lines as there are some people, probably not active in the forum, but possibly lurking, that take everything a little bit too literally. Which is unfortunate, but I have seen in it a thread or two, about vehicles that technically still don’t have a (publicly atleast) “finalized” designI'm not taking it seriously. Such negative people on social media. I think social media is where hate goes to die300 miles has been mentioned on social media. Here's a recent post.
Did you read the “dead in 3 years” comment? They would probably e surprised to learn of Rivians continued existenceSuch negative people on social media. I think social media is where hate goes to die
That’s the part that got me. Another group wishing for failure-probably because they can’t afford one and they are angry because of it. Seems to be haters from every direction:Did you read the “dead in 3 years” comment? They would probably e surprised to learn of Rivians continued existence

Yeah, their might be some reasonable criticism for scout, given it’s been years since unveiling, allowing for new tech and competition to enter the market, well maybe atleast in regards to EREVs, but they have a good reason, the factory is still under construction. The only thing I’d be upset with is a 400+ mile BEV only a couple years after launch, but that’s part of the risks with early adoption anywayThat’s the part that got me. No diesel, no V-8, not enough range, not enough tow, not full ICE, killing trees to build plant, and on and on……
Yup. And it’s not even like it’s a one sided attack. It’s coming from all angles at this point. But everyone is entitled to have their own opinion. Thankfully the Auto industry in America isn’t as controlled by the government as much as China or other countries. If it was we would see a lot of people riding bikes or walking. That’s the part that got me. Another group wishing for failure-probably because they can’t afford one and they are angry because of it. Trying not to theorize, but the more I see it, my mind wants to say they working on getting verifications and in the “PR notes” they’re saying “more than 300” to manage expectations, but I think I’m just going crazy, being stuck home in this iceoverInstagram also has "more than 300 miles".
