  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Speculation - will Scout use the new EV battery announced by VW?

VW just unveiled "a standardized battery cell to use across its electric portfolio." https://insideevs.com/news/772188/volkswagen-unified-battery-cell-solid-state-lfp/ From the article: "Developed by VW subsidiary PowerCo, the prismatic cell will debut in the automaker's line of affordable EVs...

What is the "Scout Supply gear bench"?

In the Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme thread, @Jamie@ScoutMotors listed several new things that have been added to the Terra. One of the items on the list was a "Scout Supply gear bench". I did not see anything in the pictures that looked like a "gear bench" to me. So, does...

Solid-state batteries for EVs at least 10 years away

In an InsideEVs article about upcoming EVs with solid-state batteries, I thought this quote was telling. So even with all the latest hype, we are still at least 10 years away from seeing solid-state batteries for EVs become mainstream.

    Plaid Trim Option

I am adding this to the suggestion box so we can get some up-votes and hopefully get Scout to offer this. Scout should offer a "Plaid trim package" that is just an interior option for the seats and some of the interior cloth panels. I am not suggesting the entire seat should be plaid. I am...

Scout Blanket in the Scout Merchandise Store

J Alynn suggested a Scout blanket as part of the Scout Community Package, and I think a Scout blanket is a great idea! A blanket was also suggested by nolan in the Scout Supply Merchandise Live thread, but it did not get much traction. I don't want to wait for the vehicle release, I think they...

Expert Car Designer Analysis of Scout Traveler and Terra

I just found this video on YouTube where they discuss the Scout Traveler and Terra designs. I thought the folks here would enjoy it.

Scout should publish info about EREV driving modes

I just saw an article that talks about the drive modes of the Ramcharger (Electric+, E-Save and Eco) with a brief description of how two of the three work. While I realize that the Scout Harvester hasn't been finalized, I think it would be helpful to have them provide similar info for the three...
