  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

8 That makes sense, since it doesn’t need to drive a starter, it can be smaller.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

It could be a helpful cue to remind me whether I’m driving or just passenging. Or am I giving away my age again? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

In the Reddit post, I think the charger is rivian, not the vehicle. Not sure what vehicle it is, but might be an older one without fast charging, or even a phev.

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

Tried Porsche configurator many times … (emoji search turns up nothing for “wistful”)

As long as they explain about the importance of buttons!

PLEASE DO NOT DO AN EXCLUSIVE DEAL WITH STARLINK - NO MUSK

I think we all have lines we won’t cross and can respect those lines of others without trying to minimize them as just “political”. And regardless of your opinion of the guy in charge of starlink, I think we can all understand why someone would not want their hard earned dollars to go towards...

Scout Motors Needs to Rethink “Local” Service. Don't do the Tesla model.

One of the things I took away from the 80% customer repairability comment was that also meant that 80% of repairs could be done by your favorite local mechanic, which i suspect may not be true for rivian. For those of us without a 2 story garage with 10 foot high doors, that’s a blessing. :)...

Please do NOT use soy based wiring!

Yeah, I guess a better request would be to please make rodents don’t like chewing on the wires, whatever it is that leads to that.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

To move a vent, I merely move the vent. Both the vents I want to move are closer than the screen, it’s easier to precisely control (I find precision on a touchscreen to be almost impossible), there’s no motor/system to break, and I don’t have to push a button first. And the desired position of...

Doesn’t work so well in a phoenix summer 😜

It’ll always be the gas pedal to me. That reminds me, when I make a collection of songs in iTunes, I’m gonna start calling them “mix tapes” just to make my kids eyes roll 😂

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Reminds me of back in the day when I was told that you should get your car up to 90-100 once in a while to clean out carbon deposits or something like that. Never stopped to ask if it was true 😉

    E-brake

I suspect your intuition is not unfounded. Tesla goes to great lengths to design for manufacturability, sacrificing repairability. I expect mature car companies have a little more balance. I’m hoping scout will lean towards reapairability more than most, otherwise folks on this forum will be...

    Rethink Steering Wheel Design?

But it looks cool! 🤣 (And I’m sure it goes to 11)

Real world EREV/PHEV Towing, Offroad, and Range Testing

Thanks for the summary, I didn’t have the stamina to watch the whole thing.

I can understand why car makers don’t want Apple to take over their entire interface.

    CCS and NACS

Putting it on the right front works better with Tesla chargers as you don’t have to back in. Routing “around the trunk” is no different than routing “around the interior”, in fact there’s probably more flexibility because you can tweak the frunk design if there’s any real issue. How much...

    CYURE GOES TO NATIONALS!!! Yay!!!

Maybe it’s a knee pad for when you’re fiddling with the molle panels 😀
