  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Travelall 3 Row

Not bad - but little room for storage / luggage for all those peoples... And probs not so hot off-roading. Might look better with a straight belt-line

    Travelall 3 Row

I like that Scout has a bench option... Probably helps take care of those "in-between" the need for a 3rd row... My wife has a 3rd row and it hardly ever gets used. Having a bench gives you a 3X3 seating config which is probably attractive for many... With a 3rd Row SUV, you typically need...

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

This is a LOT of hype IMHO: Scout has said it will support CarPlay, so I think we are good... BUT keep in mind Scout has already shown a UI and infotainment experience for "SCOUT STUFF" (not your phones stuff) that already looks amazing. Rivian accomplished the same, but Rivian could be even...

    Standard Bed Utility

It's very non-standard due to the spoiler, light, shark fin and the buttons on the top of bed rails that actuate the gear tunnel and buttons that actuate the tailgate. The attachment points are also a consideration under the bedrails. GFC put a lot of effort into that development actually.

    Standard Bed Utility

The right companies will work around that. GFC did for Rivian (for example).

Please make Scout the 'privacy brand'.

i'm sure all of that will be revealed over time... But closer to the conversion point from reservation to ORDER. Lots of details still to come.

    Paddle Shifters For Adjusting Regen

I think you just start one reply, then move to another one you want to reply to and hit reply again before posting...

    Paddle Shifters For Adjusting Regen

I think most people understand that (and I do like that too), but it is personal preference for many... I do the same on the HWY using Driver+... Makes HWY driving a breeze. Only really enjoy it when there isn't much traffic and I'm out in the country though.

    Paddle Shifters For Adjusting Regen

Agreed, but it cuts both ways... Sounds like a One-Pedal Drive Option + the ability to adjust regen on paddles would work for most people, in addition to having a number of DRIVE MODES that can be pre-configured for those of us that like the simplicity of getting in and driving with whatever our...

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

My Rivian R1T has been the best pick-up I have ever owned. But it has 50K miles on it, so I am essentially early truck shopping. What do I like about the Scout? I prefer a bigger bed, I love the roll-down rear window, another 50 miles of range would be great, AND I sometimes feel like my Rivian...

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

No paddles - just different 3 different regen settings, however I rarely touch my regen settings. I probably use different "drive modes" more than I adjust the regen directly. Snow mode (for example) will reduce regen, as part of the config for that mode:

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

One place hold is awesome... And yes, I know, its controversial and some people love it and others hate it, BUT driving a well-implemented and smooth HOLD feature with one-pedal is awesome. Why? You don't need to move your foot at all. You can literally just roll up to a stop and the vehicle...

    Overbuild the tailgate swingout!

I scraped that from the interwebs. I have a full size spare in my bed!!!!

    Overbuild the tailgate swingout!

Yep & drain plug under the spare compartment under the bed of the truck too... (y)

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

Not a clue yet on bars for the Scout, BUT the aftermarket also takes care of the bars. The key for Rivian was the attachment points being the same and the bars extending in the center to span the different widths between the roof and the bed. There are solid options available also, like these...

    Overbuild the tailgate swingout!

People do DO THIS, but I just lug a cooler around.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Dig into the Bollinger story and you will find all kinds of amazingly bad stuff... But that is what Google is for. The truck itself "looked" cool (sort of like something that Daniel Craig would drive while fox hunting on a private estate while filming a new Bond movie). But it was bare bones...

    Overbuild the tailgate swingout!

You would need a massively disproportionate front-end to accommodate a 33 in a frunk. For reference, i would need about 10 more inches of length just to manage to fit the spare in my Frunk, plus you would need some sort of bracket, mounting and retention system, so likely more like 15". The nose...

    Overbuild the tailgate swingout!

Frunk tip... I cleared the top section of my frunk out over the weekend to deliver pizza to a team of hungry HS kids. The R1T frunk has a false floor with additional storage underneath, so this was just using the top section. Holds 12 pizzas perfectly and keeps them warm! The 13th small pizza...

    Intuitive D/B Mode Switching - A Must-Have for Scout!

Yes, Harvester is just generating electricity and sending it to the battery - has no impact on one pedal driving. The only time regen may be impacted is if the battery is full, then there would likely be a message like "regen limited"...
